Yamaha Other tech info
Yamaha Other description
Up for auction is one 2005 Yamaha Zuma 50. I recently had the local Yamaha dealership do a service to the machine and replaced the battery with a new Yuasa unit. I bought this machine years ago for my wife to use when we go camping, but it rarely gets used so I am selling it. Mechanically it is in good shape and ready to ride. As you can see in the close up pics, it was laid down once on the right side by the previous owner resulting in the scratches to the textured black plastic pieces. The painted plastics do not have any road rash on them, but do have some scuffs and marks on them from normal wear. It fires right up and runs great. Please feel free to ask any questions. Thanks.

Mythbusters to Compare Emissions of Cars Versus Motorcycles
Wed, 21 Sep 2011Are motorcycles more environmentally friendly than cars? Ask most people that question and their initial response would probably be “yes” because motorcycles are more fuel efficient, and they release less CO2. But is that the whole story? MythBusters‘ Jamie Hynerman and Adam Savage are going to find out on the Emmy-nominated show’s fall season premiere, Sept.
Yamaha Reports Q2 2013 Sales Results
Tue, 06 Aug 2013Yamaha bounced back from a poor first quarter with sales of 1.530 million motorcycles over the second quarter ended June 30, 2013. The results represent a 1.5% increase from the 1.507 million motorcycles sold in the same quarter last year. Still, Yamaha’s first half motorcycle sales total of 3.0 million units remains behind last year’s tally of 3.1 million units because of the weak first quarter sales.
Back in the day, the All Japan 500cc Championship at Tsukuba
Fri, 24 Jun 2011This ‘you tube’ gem sent to me recently brought back some funny memories from the scary but incredibly exciting days of 500cc two stroke racing. This particular race was the final round of the All Japan 500cc Championship at Tsukuba Circuit where I enjoyed a head to head battle with national hero Tadahiko Taira. Yamaha’s favourite son at the time, ‘tie wrap’ as we liked to call him, was taller and better looking than most Japanese riders (maybe a war baby?) and went on to win nearly everything in Japan during his career.
