Yamaha Other description

2004 FJR 1300A with 40,zero miles. Bike is in fantastic condition, running and cosmetic. I have had the bike since 2003 when I purchased it form a guy in Oregon with 500 mis on it. I have since put on many extras totaling around $4500.00. The 1st and I think the most important is the aftermarket Penske suspension installed at GP suspension in Oregon. (Shock and forks) It was installed around 26,zero miles, but should have been done sooner, what a huge difference. A have a full exhaust system from Holeshot to include new mapping with a Power Commander. Sounds incredible. I also have the stock exhaust and headers if you want to go back. I had my seat customized by Rich's in Seattle that you could probably take up to him and have tweaked a little to your liking. I also have a stock seat. I have a fender extender and a radiator guard. I have Roko frame sliders to assist with possible tip over. I have locking Bar Enders (stock ones too) to lock your helmets to the handle bars, and D & D risers to move the bars up and back. Also have a newer Shorai lithium battery. I have an FJR version of highway pegs that fold up out of the way, but do help to stretch the legs. It has the new Michelin Road Pilot three tires with less than 500 mis on them and a fresh synthetic oil change done about the same time. I also spent about a week painting the rims black from silver, which I think looks much better. In the pictures is the stock windscreen , but I also have a Cee Baileys , which is wider and taller for complete wind protection if you want. The 26,000mi major service was done and I have done the oil changes and brake fluid changes myself. It runs like new and is in almost as good of shape. Most of the maintenance you can do with the shop manual which I also have. I have had numerous motorcycles, but this is the only 1 I have kept for any length of time. The only reason I am selling is to get something different. I don't have to sell, nor am I desperate for money. So please no low ball offers, and no I don't need assistance in selling. I will entertain any fair offer. It really is a must see. You will not be disappointed. Nothing needs to be done to this bike. For any questions call Randy

2013 Yamaha YZF-R6 Color and Graphic Options Announced

Thu, 13 Sep 2012

Those of you hoping for an updated Yamaha YZF-R6 will have to wait for at least another year, as Yamaha announced the 599cc sportbike is returning for 2013 unchanged except for new colors and graphics. Yamaha last updated the R6 in 2008, equipping it with the company’s Yamaha Chip Controlled Intake (YCC-T) variable-length intake system. The lack of any significant updates to the 2013 R6 must be disappointing to Yamaha fans, especially as the color updates were announced the same day Kawasaki is expected to reveal a new 636cc ZX-6R.
