I am selling a 2003 yamaha r6. Great starter bike, just ready for more power. It has an aftermarket gpr stabilizer, blue HID headlamps, lowered, black tinted windshield, and aftermarket exhaust. I have an akrpopravic exhaust for it but I am running an open pipe on it currently. The bike has 16000mis on it, and runs perfect. the only problem the bike has is it has no battery currently, the old 1 died so i took it out. i will sell it for 3200 if i replace the battery myself or will sell for 3000 obo without battery. Yamaha Focusing on Developing Model Platforms

Following the success of its MT platform, Yamaha says it will continue to develop new models based on shared platforms, allowing for a choice of multiple models while reducing overall costs. Speaking in a presentation on the company’s business operation, Yamaha Motor President Hiroyuki Yanagi reiterated the strategy of developing multiple models sharing the same engine and frame. Honda has followed a similar strategy with its NC models, seeing the platform evolve to include the CTX700 and NM4.

Haga Signs with Swan Yamaha to Race in 2012 British Superbike Championship

Noriyuki Haga is headed for the British Superbike Championship after signing on with the Swan Yamaha team to replace the injured Ian Hutchinson. Haga had been a mainstay on the World Superbike circuit for over a decade but after being unable to find a team for this season, the 36-year-old veteran will be plying his trade in the U.K. Haga will ride the Yamaha R1 alongside teammate and defending BSB Champion Tommy Hill.
