Yamaha Other description
2001 Yamaha XVS1100, Cruise in style on this 2001 Yamaha V-Star 1100 Custom. Powered by a 1,063cc air-cooled v-twin, the V-Star 1100 pumps out the perfect balance of horsepower and torque (62 HP and 62.7 ft-lbs of torque to be exact) which make the 1100 Custom perfect for both highways and twisty back-country roads. The V-Star 1100 Custom features spoked wheels, short 'chopped' fenders, and shorter handlebars than the V-Star 1100 Classic, which has flared fenders and wider 'pullback' handlebars. The previous owner of this particular Custom added a passenger backrest to make 2-up riding more comfortable for the passenger. There are a few imperfections here and there, most notably a couple scratches on the rear fender, some oxidation on the front brake reservoir cap, and a scuff or two on the left fork. All in all, it's in pretty good shape for a 2001 with just over 17,000 miles on the odometer. Stop by our showroom today and take it for a spin! This reconditioned Yamaha is being sold as-is with no warranty, but Extended Service Contracts may be available. Please contact our Sales Department for more information. At Martin Moto, we take pride in every unit we sell. Each bike passes through our award-winning Service Department and leaves with a fresh PA inspection sticker.

Maybe the Evo class is the future for WSB?
Thu, 05 May 2011Did we see the future of World Superbike racing last weekend at the BSB event? Possibly, but only if everyone is on Evo spec machines in 2012. By setting the 2nd fastest lap in race one and running second for a while in race two, the brilliant Alex Lowes proved that with a good grid position an Evo spec machine can be competitive for part race distance at least.
Yamaha Announces AMA Road Racing Teams For 2013
Wed, 30 Jan 2013Today, Yamaha Motor Corporation, USA, has announced its U.S. road racing teams to compete in the 2013 GEICO Motorcycle AMA Pro Racing season, which kicks off in March at the famed Daytona International Speedway. Superbike In the AMA Pro National Guard Superbike division, Yamaha is fielding “Team Josh,” as three-time and defending class champion, Josh Hayes once again teams up with Josh Herrin, the 2012 AMA Rookie of the Year. Despite setting single-season records for the most SuperBike wins, the most consecutive SuperBike wins, and the most SuperBike poles, the elder Josh hasn’t lost any of his competitive fire. During the off-season, Josh signed a two-year contract to stay with Monster Energy/Graves/Yamaha because he loves the team and he still feels that he’s got a lot of unfinished business to attend to.
Three-year-old donuts
Wed, 29 Dec 2010This is the son of stunt riding genius Christian Pfeiffer, Hannes, who at the age of three can already do donuts better than you. Not only is this the most adorable thing to ever feature on Visordown but it seems as though the genes run in the family as young Hannes Pfeiffer is making his dad proud on a 90cc Yamaha quad.
