Yamaha Other description

I am selling my 2001 Yamaha Vstar 1100 Classic. Great bike, runs PERFECT. Forward controls, straight pipes, removable saddle bags, backrest. 19,000mis. New tires, new brakes, new battery, full tune up. Slip on exhaust has chrome peeling, and front fender has a dent, rest of body in attractive condition. Just had a baby, will not be riding in the future, rather sell now at a lower price than sit on it for the winter. Purchased a few years ago, spent $2500 in service and accessories to make it the bike it is. Body is not mint, but you can ride it knowing it is mint mechanically. Asking $3,200 (price of a 650, this is an 1100). Please email or call

Another Day at the Office for Yamaha MotoGP Stars – Video

Fri, 27 Jul 2012

Back in 2009, Yamaha released an entertaining video featuring MotoGP racers Valentino Rossi, Jorge Lorenzo, Colin Edwards and James Toseland working on various mundane jobs at Yamaha Motor USA headquarters. Three years later, Yamaha has released a follow-up featuring its current MotoGP lineup of Lorenzo, Ben Spies, Cal Crutchlow and Andrea Dovizioso (with King Kenny Roberts lunchbox in tow). Tech3 Yamaha racer Crutchlow takes over his predecessor Edwards’ spot as a Yamaha security guard, but throws his own British spin on the job.

Unlike with most athletes, motorcycle racers’ faces remain hidden during competition. Except for promotional events or pre- and post-race interviews, the faces of our racing heroes are shielded under protective helmets with tinted visors. You don’t see the same human emotion in their faces like you can when soccer players score a goal or baseball players hit a home run.

Ben Spies Signs Contract Extension with Yamaha

Wed, 08 Jun 2011

Yamaha has signed Ben Spies to a one-year contract extension to continue racing on its MotoGP factory team in 2012. The extension comes after Spies, currently seventh in the Championship standings, recorded his first podium finish of the 2011 season, a third place result at Catalunya. Spies earned two other podium finishes in 2010 in his Rookie of the Year winning debut in the class with the Tech 3 satellite team.
