This particular 1997 Yamaha YSR 50 represented a very good overall example of true classic miniatures race bike.

The Yamaha YSR50 was a miniature motorcycle that was produced and sold by Yamaha during the late eighties and early nineties. The bike featured an air-cooled 50cc two-stroke engine. The engine was sometimes swapped out for a larger variety.

Its first production year was 1987, and it was last made in 1992. American Motorcyclist magazine stated its top speed was 38 mph.

The 2013 MotoGP Championship has taken a dramatic turn after defending champion Jorge Lorenzo broke his collarbone in a high-speed crash during practice for this weekend’s TT Assen in the Netherlands. The Yamaha factory rider was the overall leader after a dry morning practice session. The afternoon was rainy however, creating slippery conditions.

Cameron Beaubier led a parade of Yamaha YZF-R6 racebikes to win the 72nd running of the famed Daytona 200. The Yamaha Extended Service Graves Yamaha rider started from pole position and led for 50 of 57 laps before winning by a 22.254-second margin. Behind Beaubier were four other R6 riders including his teammate Garret Gerloff who finished second.
