Yamaha Other description

This is a 1995 Yamaha RT180.  Runs great.  This bike has been well cared for, and not abused.  It is in excellent condition.  The RT180 is an oil injected 2 stroke.  So there is no pre-mixing to worry about.  Just keep the oil tank full and gas in the tank.  This bike has the rare color scheme of the white / purple / & yellow.   Great trail bike.  All bodywork is in good shape, nice seat, tires have plenty of life, and engine runs great, with no rattle or piston slap.  You will be happy with this bike, not many around in this condition.  Please look at all the pictures.  Email with questions about the bike.   This bike is sold as is, where is, with no warranties, expressed or implied.  We have described this bike as best we can, but this is a used motorcycle, and as with any used vehicle it may have issues we are unaware of.

This bike comes with a clear Ohio title

This auction is being started with the very low starting bid of $1 per CC ( $180 ).  This bike is easily worth ten times that, but in the interest of a true auction, there is No Reserve, and a low opening bid.

At Williams Vintage Cycle, we specialize in the repair and restoration of vintage japanese and british motorcycles.  We are located in Xenia, OH.  If you are local, please feel free to come by to view this bike in person.  Any shipping is up to the buyer to arrange, but we can assist however possible.  We have a few recommended companies we have used in the past.  International shipping is also possible.

Suzuka Eight Hour capers

Mon, 05 Sep 2011

Chatting to TT legend John McGuiness recently about his first Suzuka Eight Hour experience got me thinking of a few capers the boys and me managed a few years back at what is still Japan's most important race of the season. It is a unique event that starts at 11am and finishes at 7pm making  it a pukka endurance race as the last hour is run with headlights on in the dark. It is essentially an eight hour sprint that showcases the trickest endurance machinery and manufacturer’s sales can be affected the following year depending on who wins or loses.

2014 Yamaha Super Ténéré ES Announced

Fri, 10 Jan 2014

Yamaha has tweaked its adventure-touring entry to keep pace with new and improved entries from its competition. The 2014 Super Tens receive a modest boost in power, new LCD instrumentation, the latest D-MODE switchable mapping “for refined town and sport settings,” LED turnsignals, a tapered aluminum handlebar and standard cruise control. The Super Ténéré ES is a new range-topping version.

Small-Displacement Class Considered for 2015 AMA Pro Racing Season

Wed, 04 Dec 2013

More and more manufacturers are entering the small-displacement sportbike market and AMA Pro Racing has taken notice, opening the possibility of adding a new racing class representing the growing segment. With plans to consolidate the Daytona Sportbike and Supersport classes and the Vance & Hines Harley-Davidson series signed through 2015, a spot will open up on race weekends for another racing class to support the premier Superbike Championship. The logical choice is to introduce a new small-displacement class.
