Yamaha Other description

Up for auction is my 1991 FJ1200.  It is in excellent condition, and has to be one of the lowest mileage examples of this vintage sport touring bike available today.  If you are a collector or fan of this well regarded sport touring bike, here is your chance to add it to your stable.  It is offered with a reasonable reserve considering its condition.  I also have a stash of parts that while not included in the auction, will be offered first to the purchaser of the bike. Feel free to email me with questions about the bike. Local pickup is available.  Contact me to discuss payment options if you are picking up the bike. Shipping arrangements and fees are the responsibility of the buyer. Additional note: New Avon tires were fitted 2 years ago-bike has not been ridden since.  New rear rotor EBC MD 2068 and pads EBC FA88 are included with purchase but not installed.

"That's one small step for man..."

Fri, 02 Oct 2009

TO CELEBRATE the 40th anniversary of man's first steps on the moon, Fiat Yamaha rider Jorge Lorenzo will wear an astronaut-style paint job on his helmet at this weekend's Portuguese GP. The Spaniard's lid has been sprayed to look a little like a spaceman's helmet and has Neil Armstrong's immortal words: "That's one small step for man; one giant leap for mankind" written on the rear. Let's just hope Lorenzo doesn't launch himself this weekend.

Kenny Roberts Motorcycle Collection Up For Sale

Wed, 25 Apr 2012

Motorcycling legend Kenny Roberts has commissioned RMD Motors to auction off some rare and exclusive motorcycles from his collection, presumably to make room for more. The Japan-based company is known the world over for its collection of rare and classic motorcycles for sale, many of which are retired grand prix machines fortunate enough to escape the fate of most decommissioned racebikes: the crusher.  Headlining the Roberts collection is the 2004 Proton KRV5 originally ridden by Kurtis Roberts, King Kenny’s youngest son. The five-cylinder grand prix machine never achieved much success on the world stage, but will easily make you the center of attention at your local trackday.

2013 AMA Supercross San Diego Race Report

Mon, 11 Feb 2013

Davi Millsaps captured his second main event win of the season and expanded his AMA Supercross championship lead to 19 points with a wire-to-wire victory at Qualcomm Stadium in San Diego. The Rockstar Energy Suzuki rider jumped ahead at the start for the holeshot and held that lead for the entire 20-lap race for the win. Finishing 2.386 seconds back was Team Honda Muscle Milk‘s Justin Barcia while Red Bull KTM‘s Ryan Dungey finished 10.300 seconds back for third place.
