1989 Yamaha FZR 600 Low Mileage NO RESERVE You Bid - You Buy Up for sale is my 1989 Yamaha FZR 600. The bike is absolutely a beautiful example of an '89 FZR 600. I had the same bike 27 years ago! It runs great and has very few flaws. There is a stress crack in the right lower fairing (see pic) and one broken tab on the very bottom. There are some very light scratches and imperfections on the bike. It runs, shifts, and stops like it should. Fresh oil, fresh battery, and new tires. The Fox shock is the only thing that appears to not be stock. The bike is 27 years old and not perfect, but it sure is a beauty! In 2011, this bike was voted one of the top 50 best motorcycles of all time. (see link to article below). The title is clear and in my name. The bike is sold as-is and no warranty. The bike is for sale locally and I have the right to end the auction at my discretion. Yamaha YZF-R1 Returns for 2013 with New Colors
Thu, 13 Sep 2012Yamaha announced new 2013 colors and graphics for its flagship sportbike, the YZF-R1. Beside the three color options, the 2013 Yamaha R1 returns unchanged, after getting a new seven-level traction control system in 2012. The three color options for 2013 are Matte Gray, Rapid Red and Raven, and the Team Yamaha Blue and White.

Tue, 17 Jan 2012I was reunited with an old friend recently, my 1999 Virgin Yamaha R7 Superbike. By the end of 1998 I had won three straight BSB titles with the Yamaha YZF750, when main sponsor Cadbury’s pulled out leaving zero funds for a title defence. Wanting desperately to ride the new R7 and thinking a replacement backer would instantly get on board I turned down quite a few offers including a juicy contract from Crescent Suzuki (Paul Denning always enjoys reminding me).
Frog eBike – the Electric Successor to 1985 Frog FZ750 Concept
Tue, 03 Apr 2012San Francisco-based Frog Design released images of a new electric motorcycle concept, just as its influential Yamaha FZ750-based Rana concept gets enshrined at the San Francisco Museum of Modern Art. Frog designer Jin Soek Hwang prepared the Frog eBike concept as an expression of how electric motor technology can influence motorcycle design. In a post on Frog’s blog, the designer says he was inspired in part by Frog’s 1985 FZ750 Rana concept (pictured after the jump).
