1983 Yamaha Other on 2040-motos
Yamaha Other tech info

Yamaha Other description
I acquired this bike from the original owners 28 year old daughter who had registered and insured the bike and used it for local in town riding. She had the bike, serviced after it had sat for over 20 years, at the local dealer and used the bike for 1 and a half years and upgraded to a bigger bike. In the 1.5 years she told me she put over 1000 trouble free miles on it.
The bike has original 1904 miles and it shows well. Has always been indoors, and was originally won at a raffle at the local Yamaha dealer in 1983. Seems to be all original with the exception of the battery. Has one small dent in tank, no paint damage, , some nicks and scratches her and there to be expected of a 33 year old motorcycle. Not restored, a true daily rider, super economical rare bike. Top speed around 60 the way it is geared. Motor is interchangeable with the ysr50 yamaha so parts are readily available. Last registered and inspected in 2015. Current and transferable NYS Title. Email with any questions or to view BEFORE auction ends. Bike is sold as is because of age, no warranty expressed or implied. Thank You |

Tue, 29 Apr 2014The latest product Yamaha Motor Europe’s Yard Built custom specials is a Star Bolt transformed into a replica of an FZ750. Dubbed the XV950 Pure Sports after the words written on the original FZ750′s fairing, the project was produced by Italy’s LowRide magazine and Radikal Chopper and styling by Oberdan Bezzi. The Star Bolt – known in Europe as the XV950 – is nearly unrecognizable in this new guise, except for its 942cc V-Twin engine.
Kenny Roberts Joins Inaugural American International Motorcycle Expo
Fri, 06 Sep 2013We’ve posted several articles over the past few months about the inaugural American International Motorcycle Expo (AIME) because the motorcycling public is invited to attend what looks like an industry/trade show. And we’re not the only ones excited to check it out. Kenny Roberts, perhaps the best-known American motorcycle racer of all time, has signed on to the AIME show as “American International Motorcycle Champion.” In this role, Roberts will serve as the proverbial face of AIMExpo, joining in the celebration of the inaugural show with the entire powersports marketplace – industry, trade, media and consumers.
AMA Supercross: 2012 Las Vegas Results
Mon, 07 May 2012Ryan Dungey scored his fourth win of the season but it was not enough to take second place in the points race behind champion Ryan Villopoto. That honor went to JGRMX Yamaha‘s Davi Millsaps who placed second to Dungey in the season-ending race at Sam Boyd Stadium in Las Vegas. Dungey took the holeshot and led every lap to take the win for Red Bull KTM.
