Yamaha Other description

I have owned this bike for about 7 years.  The two-stroke twin runs like a bat out of hell!   It is not a show bike!  It has scratches, scrapes and dings.  Pretty original, not restored survivor.  But starts, runs, stops great.  Everything works, no leaks. The tank needs to be repainted.  I have a decal kit from the UK that comes with it.  But it's not bad so I didn't bother. The bike has been ridden over the years as reflected on the OD, has been laid down, scrapes on the pipes so it has some cool nostalgic character.   It has a new top end.  1.5 over pistons, rings, wrist pins, needle bearings, retainers.  Cylinders bored and honed to match the pro-x pistons.  Everything cleaned and checked out.  Intake ported, banshee reeds installed with spacers, larger carburetors, tuned very well.  New gasket kit and seal kit installed.  Starts first or second kick.  Runs great, nice power band all the way through the rpms.  Sounds great with stock pipes.  Fun to ride.  Oil injection operational.  Newer tires, newer brakes, new battery.   Lights work, signals work, horns work, speedometer works, tachometer works, temperature gauge works.  No leaks.   All gears shift through great.  Mechanically sound, electrically sound, Frame good and clean.  Clean bike, but not a show bike!  Not yet.   Has a vintage Shoei Faring installed.  Two, minor cracks on windshield down where it's bolted on, but not bad.  Can be easily removed.   The rear and front fenders have been cut/modified (not by me).  Otherwise pretty much stock and very complete example of a very rare, desirable, legendary motorcycle.  That being said, this is not good for a first motorcycle.  It is very fast and very radical "hot rod" bike in my opinion.   Very light and very quick, very dangerous.   Numbers matching frame and engine.  Clear title in my name, insured, current California registration. It is being sold "As Is, where is".   See my excellent feedback record.  I have had 100% feedback since 2000. Transportation is the full responsibility and cost of the buyer if required.  I can assist with shipping, but please don't ask me how much it costs as it is up to the mode of transport and company YOU THE BUYER choose to go with. Off-Road Riding on a Yamaha Zuma 125 [Video]

Mon, 24 Sep 2012

Off-road capability isn’t the first thing people consider when shopping for a scooter but it is one of the more surprising traits of the Yamaha Zuma 125. In his review of the Zuma 125, Tom Roderick says the scooter “radiates a more adventurous attitude” than most scooters, with its knobby tires and hand guards making it capable for the odd excursion off the pavement. But if you’re still not convinced, Yamaha‘s Taiwanese arm has released a video featuring the Zuma 125 (or BWS 125, as it is known internationally) getting rough and rugged in the dirt.

Colin Edwards Puts Yamaha Extended Service Agents Through Boot Camp [Video]

Tue, 05 Jul 2011

We love Colin Edwards. Okay, not like that kind of love, but more the “I want to go on a Man-cation with him” kind of way. The man is flat out funny, a guarantee Grade A quote at press conferences and, as he showed in his unexpected podium finish at this year’s British Grand Prix at Silverstone, he’s still fast.
