Moving Sale!
I keep this Motorcycle at my parents house in Illinois. I use it when I am in town and visit them. They are selling their house and maybe moving down to California with me, or near me. So I am gauging interest in my little beauty. Rides great. Only thing it might need to be going on long trips are new tires. The current ones are weathered and aged, but tread is good. I would not ride it long (more than 5+ hour rides) on the HWY...I do ride it as is around town... Starts easy, brakes tight, accelerates great! Very quick and comfy. Just had oil changed earlier this summer. Ask me questions before bidding. New Ebay users less than 10 rating contact me FIRST before bidding or I will cancel your bids. I will need to verify you as a buyer before moving forward. Bike is sold AS-IS. No warranty, no Returns. Fri, 24 Sep 2010THE YAMAHA YZF-R1 ridden by nine-time motorcycle world champion Valentino Rossi at the 2009 TT has gone up for sale on eBay for £25,000.The 998cc 182bhp machine was ridden by Rossi when he lapped the Isle of Man TT course during a parade lap for Yamaha and Dainese in 2009. Authenticated by Yamaha Motors UK, this unique 181-mile machine has been signed by the multiple world champ and is being sold by Oldham-based Highbarn Motorcycles. Any takers?
Mark Miller To Ride For Vercarmoto In 2014 TT Zero
Tue, 18 Mar 2014After finishing in fifth place with Chris McGahan in the SES TT Zero in 2013, Italian based Team Vercarmoto, who made their debut in the event in 2012, has announced that American Mark Miller will ride for them in the 2014 race. American Miller is seen as a specialist in the category and boasts a respectable track record in the Isle of Man TT Zero class with the runner up position in 2011 and 3rd place in 2012 to go with his 2010 race victory. The American is also one of only three riders to break the prestigious 100mph mark around the iconic 37.73 mile TT Mountain Course on an electric bike, a feat he achieved in the 2012 race.
Yamaha Building New Factory in India
Mon, 14 May 2012Yamaha has received approval from the government of India to build a new factory in Chennai in the southern state of Tamil Nadu. Joining an existing factory near New Delhi, the new Chennai plant is expected to increase Yamaha‘s production capabilities in India to 2.8 million units a year by 2018. The new factory will be built on a 109-acre lot in Vallam Vadagal on the outskirts of Chennai.
