Yamaha Other description

Selling my 1981 Yamaha XJ750R Seca that I have owned for 11 yrs. The bike has just over 68,000 kilometer and runs well. It can be kind of hard to start when cold, even after carbs were synched, I just got pre-owned to it over the years. It has quite a few scratches and scuffs on the paint, it's 32 yrs old and never been restored. The right fork seal has just started to leak oil and the battery is low, it works, but it should be replaced. Tires need to be replaced, no weather checking, they could be run for a little while, but I would replace them if I was going to ride for the summer. All of the electronics work, which is kind of rare on an old Yamaha like this, LCD dash works, fuel gauge works, self canceling turn signals (push button or wait for ten blinks over 1700 rpm's), dual headlamps. Clean and quiet shaft drive doesn't leak. http://youtu.be/1GX97qQjtQkhttp://youtu.be/l40p6y5T-1EE-mail me for more questions about the bike. $1100.00 obo clear title. No trades, cash only. I won't deliver bike, don't ask. Doug, don't text me, I won't respond. If the ad is still listed, it's still for sale.

Yamaha Reveals YZR-M1 50th Anniversary Grand Prix Livery

Tue, 17 May 2011

Yamaha marks its 50th year in World Championship Grand Prix racing this year, and what better way to celebrate the anniversary than with a special edition livery? The special edition WGP50th Anniversary Yamaha YZR-M1 livery reaches back into Yamaha’s past for its classic red-and-white colors inspired by its first factory team in 1961. Reigning MotoGP Champion and current points leader Jorge Lorenzo and 2010 MotoGP Rookie of the Year Ben Spies will ride the special edition WGP50th Anniversary livery on their Yamaha YZR-M1 racebikes at the June 25 Assen round and the July 24 U.S.

Yamaha Wraps Up Sepang MotoGP Test

Thu, 02 Feb 2012

Pre-season test lap times aren’t a precise barometer for how the 2012 MotoGP Championship season will go, but Yamaha has to feel good about its results after this week’s testing at Malaysia’s Sepang circuit. Last February at Sepang, Honda riders were the talk of the preseason session, taking three of the top four lap times on each day of the test. That pattern repeated itself in the final championship standings with Casey Stoner taking the championship, Dani Pedrosa finishing third and Andrea Dovizioso fourth.

And it's goodbye from him

Tue, 17 Aug 2010

THIS IS Valentino Rossi's farewell letter to his Fiat Yamaha team following the announcement the flambouyant Italian is to head to Ducati MotoGP in 2011.The hand-written letter, mistakes and all, is written in almost a 'my first romance' kinda way. It's touching, if a little bizarre. Some of the letter reads:“Unfortunately even the most beautiful love stories finish, but they leave a lot of wonderful memories, like when my M1 and I kissed for the first time on the grass at Welkom, when she looked straight in my eyes and told me ‘I love you!'"Somehow, we can't see Casey Stoner gushing quite as freely when he leaves Ducati for Repsol Honda.
