Yamaha Other description

Selling my 1980 Yamaha KZ650 which was converted into a cafe racer. I am selling because purchased the bike 2 years ago and it has been sitting in the corner of my garage for over a year not being used. It was converted before I purchased, but needed cosmetic work. Have clean NJ title in hand, The Odometer # is the add is not correct, it is not known, had to enter a # for ebay to allow listing

This is what I did:

Removed all the badging from the tank and side covers, painted the tank, front fender and side covers

Replaced the turn signals

Cleaned up the wiring

Painted the front tripple tree, painted the front brake reservoir and tachometer holder

Painted the exhaust as well

The good:

Clean lines

Nice paint

New tires

Dropped bars

Handlebar end mirrors

Airbox converted to K&N filters (told that jetting was done)

New seat with brake light embedded

Manual chain tightener

Kick stand and centerstand

Kerker 4 to 1 exhaust

New petcock (gravity type)

Newer chain

Brakes good

The bad:

Needs new battery (may have one by time it is sold, just need time to pick one up)

Use to start but takes a while, once running will start first/second time, carberators need to be cleaned and balanced. Should start just have to get a chance to try once I get new battery

Gas tank should be cleaned and coated

The previous owner installed the tachometer (don't know why), I purchased a speedo, but never got around to changing it out, speedo comes with the bike

Some scraping on the turn signal control (was planning to replace, just didn't get around to it)

Some scrapping on the lower part of engine

The bike is fun to ride, I just don't have time that is why I am selling, this bike should not sit, it deserves to be ridden.

The bike is being sold AS-IS, no warranty given or implied, it will also be listed locally and if sold I will be ending this auction

$250 non-refundable deposit due withing 24 hours of end of auction, rest paid in CASH when bike is picked up, will not release bike until fully paid!!!

Buyer is responsable for pickup and any shipping of bike!!!

Just for a moment; leading the British GP

Tue, 12 Jun 2012

Cal Crutchlow’s early exit at his home Moto GP last year meant we didn’t get to see his awesome potential at Silverstone. His two WSB race wins there in 2010 were pretty special as he dominated on the factory Yamaha R1, not least as he used some alternative lines and every inch of the track along the way. With his form matching the world's best in every event this year, on paper, this weekend should be his best chance so far to secure a podium or maybe even (making the dream come true!) take the first major class win in three decades.

Coinciding with the start of its new business plan, Yamaha is adopting a new brand slogan: “Revs your Heart“. The company reported net sales totaling 1,207.7 billion yen (US$13 billion) for the 12 months ended Dec.

Yamaha Kicks Off 2013 MotoGP Promotional Campaign with Valentino Rossi and Jorge Lorenzo – Video

Tue, 15 Jan 2013

We’re just over two weeks into the new year which means it’s time for MotoGP teams to start the promotional push for their 2013 MotoGP programs. Ducati is set to reveal its Desmosedici GP13 today at its annual Wrooom ski event with Ferrari‘s Formula One team later today, but Yamaha has gotten the jump on its Italian rival by releasing new photographs and a video of ex-Ducati rider Valentino Rossi and reigning World Champion Jorge Lorenzo. Also revealed is the 2013 Yamaha M1, though the racebike is shrouded in graphical overlays of its pilots and devoid of any sponsor logos including the newly signed supporter Monster Energy.
