Yamaha Other description

If you know what this, then I don't have to 'splain it.

If you don't know what this, it's probably not the bike for you...

Mostly stock and mostly original, even has stock exhaust. Try finding that.

Non-stock: Front brake cylinder and hose, one mirror, recovered seat.

Missing: one cylinder fin rubber damper (being re-popped by HVC Cycle), tool kit, original mirrors, amber reflectors.

Generally in good condition for the year and mileage, tank is clean, oil injection works, starts on first kick, weeping a little oil, I think from the oil pump. Title is clear.

Look carefully at the pictures and ask any questions before bidding. This wonderful bike is in storage so give me some time if I have to go there for answers.

Cash only, in person, local pickup only, $500 deposit due within 24 hours, usual stuff. If you want to have it shipped, all I can do is open the door, the rest is up to you.

Love this bike, but I have too many and one has to go. (it's this one or my Harley)

Ienatsch, Hill, Russell, Bestwick To Give Speech At Yale Today

Thu, 30 Jan 2014

In what might be considered the most shocking news of 2014 so far, Nick Ienatsch and Ken Hill are going to Yale. While some might think the Chief and Lead instructors at the newly revamped Yamaha Champions Riding School are getting in over their heads, the two are at Yale as lead presenters for “Excellence In Motion: What Motorcycle Racing Can Teach Us About Success,” which begins at 4pm (local time) today.  When put into context, their appearance at one of the nation’s top schools is understandable. Each has had their fair share of success aboard motorcycles, and they will be joined by two more champions on two-wheels, five-time Daytona 200 winner and 1993 World Superbike Champion Scott Russell, and Jamie Bestwick, an avid motorcyclist and winner of eight consecutive X-Games BMX Vert gold medals.

Tommy Hayden to Race 2012 Daytona 200 for Graves Yamaha – Video

Fri, 16 Mar 2012

Tommy Hayden has signed on to race in the 2012 Daytona 200 for the Graves Yamaha team as an replacement for injured rider Garrett Gerloff. Gerloff broke his right femur in the first Daytona Sportbike class practice session for the Daytona 200, leaving Yamaha little time to find a replacement. Hayden had raced for Yamaha before, and those old ties reconnected quickly in time for the season opening race.

Video: Catalunya 2009, that pass

Mon, 19 Dec 2011

The battle between Valentino Rossi and Jorge Lorenzo from Catalunya was one of the most memorable and thrilling races from recent years, a definite candidate for one of the Greatest Grand Prix races - ever. Passing Lorenzo at the final corner was the defining moment that is still talked about today, but for me the most incredible and bold pass made by Rossi in those final few laps was out-braking his former Yamaha team-mate around the outside into turn one.
