1979 Yamaha SR500r – Incredible Original Condition

Current California registration with original blue and yellow license plate.  3560 original miles.  The bike has always been stored indoors and is in impeccable condition.  As you can see from the photos, the bike is like new and is in no way ‘tidied up’ for sale.  There is no rust, dents or other damage hidden.  All decals, paint and seat are in perfect condition.

The bike starts on the first kick (once you get the hang of starting an SR) and runs like a top.  New tires,  new MotoBatt sealed battery and the rubber seal on the gas tank is the only work I have done after purchasing the bike from a friend last year.  A set of brake pads, full carb rebuild kit and other parts will be included in the sale.  A full set of related documents will come with the bike including original sale brochure, owner’s manual and a Clymer service manual plus a second original Yamaha key.

This may well be the very best original example of an SR500r out there and it is ready to placed in any showroom worldwide.  Hope you like it and good luck!!!

2014 AMA Supercross – Arlington Results

Tue, 18 Feb 2014

James Stewart‘s hot streak continues with his second-consecutive win and fourth AMA Supercross podium in five weeks after an impressive effort at Cowboys Stadium in Arlington, Texas. Fresh off of signing a contract extension with Yoshimura Suzuki, Stewart took control of the Arlington main event on the third lap, passing holeshot-taker Ryan Dungey and running away with the win. With his win last week at San Diego, Stewart becomes the first rider to win back-to-back races this season and establishes himself as a championship contender as we approach the mid-way point of the 2014 season.

Yamaha Tenere Experience

Mon, 23 Apr 2012

To be honest I had my doubts. The the very thought of off-roading 260kgs of Super Tenere adventure bike fostered strong feelings of self preservation. Was this really a good idea?

One man who didn't want to be watching the Sachsenring MotoGP

Mon, 15 Jul 2013

Jorge Lorenzo posted this picture on his Twitter feed on Sunday. Yamaha's No.1 rider had to watch Sunday's MotoGP from his apartment. Despite Crutchlow reckoning Sunday's race result would have been the same even with Pedrosa and Lorenzo on the grid, I reckon Lorenzo would have had something to say about that.
