Yamaha Other tech info
Yamaha Other description
For sale, very good running, low miles, 650 Yamaha. I have only had this bike about one month; I bought it with some other bikes. Everything seems to be there, but look at the pictures. Everything works: brakes, clutch, lights, turn signals, electric start.
One thing that I am not sure of is the year. The title says 1973, but a couple people who know Yamahas much better than I do said it was a 1978. I looked up the engine number on the computer and it also says it is a 1978. So, maybe the "8" was mistaken at the BMV for a "3". I am not sure, BUT the year on the title is 1973 and this is the way it will be sold. I also have a wind screen that goes with it, but I forgot to get a picture up. If you have any questions, I will try to answer them as honestly as I can. Paypal deposit of $250 within 48 hours. The remainder in cash or personal check. Bike can be picked up after check clears. |

2011 AMA Pro National Guard Superbike Champion Josh Hayes
Tue, 06 Sep 2011Josh Hayes has won his second consecutive AMA Superbike title, clinching the championship in a tightly contested Race One at the 2011 season finale at New Jersey Motorsports Park. The lead changed hands several times before Hayes emerged with the win, his third of the season. The Monster Energy Graves Yamaha R1 rider was consistent all season, finishing with three wins and 12 podium finishes in 14 races, and finishing fourth in the two times he missed the podium.
One and Done: Daytona 200 Winning Project 1 Atlanta Folds
Thu, 05 Apr 2012Apparently winning isn’t enough to pay the bills any more, not even if the victory comes at the storied Daytona 200. The 2012 Daytona 200-winning Project 1 Atlanta team has folded after unable to secure funding for the rest of the season. Project 1 Atlanta, and racer Joey Pascarella, stunned AMA Pro Racing fans with a Cinderella story victory at the Daytona 200.
1974: Onboard an MV racer with Phil Read
Fri, 19 Feb 2010ANOTHER CRACKING BIT of vintage racing footage, this time featuring multiple motorcycle world champion Phil Read on the awesome-sounding MV Agusta 500-4.The footage is from the 1974 movie 'The Iron Horse' made by Frenchman Pierre-William Glenn.Read’s 1974 500cc World Championship victory was the last year a four-stroke won the world title before the advent of the MotoGP class in 2002. Giacomo Agostini won the crown from Yamaha in 1975, followed by Suzuki-mounted Barry Sheene in '76 and '77. The footage is bloody good, considering the camera technology of the day.
