Yamaha Other description

1976 TY 175 yamaha with many new and modified parts.Model # 525, Frame # 000881,Motor # 000881.It is an early first year model. They made a bunch of them back in the day and you could still find a new in crate one back n the 80's.Considered to be  the best power to weight & balance trials bike  by many vintage riders. Most new parts and mods were from B&J Racing and those guys know there stuff.I built this as a rider in Ahrma vintage trials.I rode in 2 or 3 and then messed up my knee and it has sat in the garage for the last 6 yrs or so.I fire it up and ride it around the yard every year to keep everything lubed up.This is not a show pony and was built for serious riding.I have owned both the ty250 and this 175 and it is much more fun ride than the 250.Less that 20 hours on this bike since the resto.
It has the following new parts or modifications:
Front and rear universal trials plastic fenders.Sammy miller chrome front fork brace.B&J front number plate,Solid aluminum trials handle bars,Renthal grips,Adjust on the fly MSR clutch and front brake assemblies,New clutch, throttle and from brake cables.New seals, wipers, fork mods and air fork caps.New domino throttle.New front and rear brake shoes.
Motor has been bored 1st over with a new piston kit by b&j.Sammy Miller chrome head pipe,Boysden reeds and reed mod by b&j. New air filter,Folding gear shift lever,Wide footpegs,New 428 HD chain and front & rear sprockets,Rebuilt Fox gas shocks,New IRC front and rear tires and tubes. Rims are straight and true.Frame and swing arm were bead blasted and repainted. Lots of polished chrome that has been clear coated.I ever had the skid plate shined up ! Tank is very nice with no dents and just a few scratches and side panel is missing some paint. This is a great bike.Selling for less than what I have in it.
Sold as is with no title as Illinois did not require them back in the day,but I will provide a bill of sale.I am the second owner of this bike.
Local pick up would be nice, but I will assist shipping any way I can.

Now Your Kid Can Ride Like Rossi!

Tue, 15 Sep 2009

Eight-time world motorcycle champion Valentino Rossi has created a new line of two-wheel funsters – except these bikes have no motors. Rossi teamed up with Italian company Cicli Adriatica to develop a line of children’s bicycles – the VR46 bike collection. With this line of children’s two-wheelers, you can now blame your child’s skinned knee of the famed Fiat Yamaha rider!

EICMA 2013: 2014 Yamaha MT-07 And MT-09 Street Rally

Mon, 04 Nov 2013

Yamaha teased us with the “Rise Up Your Darkness” campaign, first introducing the FZ-09 (called the MT-09 in Europe) and its three-cylinder engine packaged in a naked frame. Now Yamaha has introduced the next motorcycle in the Darkness collection, the MT-07, effectively the MT/FZ-09′s little brother. Designed to “bring fun, affordability and enjoyment back to the street,” the MT-07 is powered by a brand new, 689cc parallel-Twin with 270-degree crank incorporating Yamaha’s “crossplane philosophy” of developing linear torque for smoother power application.

Yamaha Confirms Leaning Multi-Wheeler for 2014 – Will the Tesseract Concept Finally Become Reality?

Wed, 03 Jul 2013

Yamaha confirmed it plans to introduce a new Leaning Multi-Wheeler (LMW) vehicle for 2014. An accompanying image of a test unit in camouflage reveals two closely-aligned front wheels beneath a broad fairing. The new model will be a three-wheeler similar to Piaggio‘s MP3 scooter instead of the four wheels like the Tesseract concept (pictured further below) first introduced at the 2007 Tokyo Motor Show.
