Yamaha Other description
Up for sale is a 1976 RD400 2 STROKE that was sitting in storage for 25 years. I bought it from a friend who had not ridden it since the late 1980's with the intention of getting it all sorted out and keeping it. The wife however has different plans and is making me sell it. The good news is I have already done some work, cleaned out the gas and oil tanks, fuel lines, and carbs, put in a brand new battery and spark plugs, also got a new oil pump. Bike does run and drive, front brakes work great but I have not gotten to the rears as yet. Bike comes with the original tool kit and is a bill of sale only. I have included 53 pictures, and have a very reasonable reserve!
All the electronics work perfect, lights, turn signal indicators, console, horn!
I have already checked with the DMV and the bike is NOT in the system so there are no back fees owed.
I do have some paper work on the bike including registration papers that date back to 1991, same owner for over 30 years.
Bike is sold with no warranty stated or implied.
Good Luck bidding!

Magneti Marelli to Supply Electronics System to MotoGP Teams
Wed, 26 Sep 2012It’s no secret that promoter Dorna Motorsports has been trying to push a standardized electronics control unit for teams in the MotoGP World Championship. The lack of a top-tier electronics package has been one of the biggest challenges faced by MotoGP’s claiming rule teams, and a spec ECU would narrow the gap between the CRT bikes and the factory prototypes. The manufacturers competing in the series, Honda, Ducati and Yamaha, understandably are resistant to the idea considering the effort they’ve put in to develop their electronics systems.
NZ Superbike Series Points Leader Is A Grandfather Of Three!
Tue, 14 Jan 2014Dennis Charlett is stamping his authority on the New Zealand Superbike championship. The 45 year-old father of five and grandfather of three (no, those aren’t typos) won the first three races of the season during the series opener in Christchurch, placing him firmly at the top of the points standings heading into round two at Levels Raceway, near Timaru. The championship favorite certainly got the wake-up call as Taupo’s Suzuki rider Scott Moir raced to a convincing win in Saturday’s Superbike race, while Charlett was forced to settle for fourth place.
