Up for your bidding consideration is a nice 1975 Yamaha DT250. Bike is almost complete with the exception of tool kit and mirrors. I bought the bike 3 years ago, performed a tuneup, sealed gas tank, changed out petcock, and cleaned carb. Bike had sat for a while. Bike will fire after a couple of kicks and runs strong, good throttle response. Bike has good compression. Put new knobby tires on last year. There are some small dings and some cosmetic rust. Speedometer shows 4362 miles but, I cannot verify. I do have a Michigan title last dated 2006 and fork seal covers that I have not yet replaced. Oil Injector system does work. There are no leaks, bike does have a battery but no tool kit. This is a good looking and good running bike for its age. $500.00 deposit is required through Paypal and the rest due in the form of cash or Bank cashiers check, allow 2 business days for Cashiers check to clear through bank. The event is the first of a three-race series that will crown overall champions in two individual race classes: Pro Superbike and Dynojet Pro Sportbike. The Superbike Shootout is a three-race series meant to fill the long void in the AMA Pro Roadracing schedule between round one at Daytona and the second round at Road America.
45,367 Motorcycle Thefts Reported in US in 2013
Tue, 10 Jun 2014Americans reported 45,367 stolen motorcycles in 2013, down 1.5% from 2012, reports the National Insurance Crime Bureau‘s latest Motorcycle Theft and Recovery Report. According to the NICB motorcycle thefts have been on the decline every year since 2007 when 65,678 motorcycles were reported stolen, though the overall trend appears to be leveling off. Japanese motorcycles continue to be the most popular target for thieves.
2014 AMA Supercross – Arlington Results
Tue, 18 Feb 2014James Stewart‘s hot streak continues with his second-consecutive win and fourth AMA Supercross podium in five weeks after an impressive effort at Cowboys Stadium in Arlington, Texas. Fresh off of signing a contract extension with Yoshimura Suzuki, Stewart took control of the Arlington main event on the third lap, passing holeshot-taker Ryan Dungey and running away with the win.
