I am selling this old Yamaha because I just bought another bike. It is currently registered in NC and is in excellent condition. The paint is factory original and in great condition. There is one small ding in the tank and a scratch on the right headlight bracket. You can see the ding in photo 3. I have a replacement OEM bracket in excellent condition that goes with the bike. It starts up after about 3 kicks when cold, when warm it starts with one kick. All the original documents come with the bike I can throw in a buddy seat in fair condition if wanted. The turn signals are not original to the bike. They came off my 70 CT1 and do not come with the bike. This bike is a head turner and would do very well at shows. Glen Richards back with Embassy Racing
Wed, 27 Oct 2010One of the unsung heroes of the BSB paddock over the past few seasons, has to be 2010 Superstock 1000 runner up Glen Richards. A nasty tumble in at the Brands Hatch opener lead to four DNFs, but once back on track he pushed the dominant BMWs hard, finishing on the podium eight times. While many were trading their grannies to fund new S1000RRs, Richards kept the faith and rode the wheels off his Padgett’s Honda Fireblade.
Recall for 2009-2011 Yamaha V-Max
Fri, 30 Sep 2011Yamaha is issuing a recall campaign on certain 2009-2011 V-Max power cruisers due to a potential risk of oil pump malfunction. According to documents released by the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration, abnormally high oil pressure can build up within the oil pump of certain Yamaha V-Max models. The high pressure may force the washer on the oil pump shaft against the oil pump housing, causing oil to stop pumping through the engine.
