1974 Yamaha Other on 2040-motos
Yamaha Other tech info
Yamaha Other description
A really nice find. Good looking, quick starting, strong running vintage motocrosser that is just too much for me anymore, with my age, health issues and recent divorce. Rides very well, suspension works very well for it's age, needs a few items to be truly competitive like fresh tires, chain, and sprockets. Some light battle scars, a couple of light dents on original aluminum tank and scratches on sidecovers, but a beautiful bike overall, please see pictures. Spare me from more pain and humiliation, I just ain't as fast as this bike is anymore. Maybe I never was, but I like to keep my delusions intact. Ride as-is, or easy restoration, very original with a couple of period accessories.
Good luck, please contact me with any questions. |

Michael Alan Duff/Michelle Ann Duff
Wed, 29 Dec 2010Spotted the link to this short film on a Dutch blog. It's beautifully shot/directed and captures GP rider Mike Duff's recovery from a horrific hip and pelvis injury suffered at the Japanese GP which cost him a six month stay in hospital. Watching him push-start makes you wince just imagining the pain he must have been in.
1.5litre V8 two-stroke
Thu, 21 Apr 2011I don't know about you but I've yet to ride anything with two wheels and an engine that I didn't enjoy in one form or another. From minimotos to 1800 Goldwings, there's always some fun to be had even if it is just the novel experience that makes you grin. I am not one for a pidgeonhole, that's for sure.
Kenny Roberts Return to the Indy Mile [video]
Fri, 18 Dec 2009In a year that saw Yamaha riders James Stewart, Valentino Rossi, and Ben Spies capture the perfect “trifecta” of World Championships, perhaps one of the most memorable moments for race fans around the world, was “King” Kenny Roberts’ return ride at the infamous Indy Mile in late August. As a year end surprise, Yamaha is pleased to offer race fans around the world a video of this monumental occasion. The video features both archival footage from Kenny’s victory in 1975 as well as the events surrounding this recent monumental motorcycling event.
