Yamaha Other description

Up for auction is a beautiful vintage 1973 Yamaha AT3 125. This is a matching numbers bike, that's in very nice condition as you can see in the pictures. It looks like it was stored in doors for many years and has been well cared for. This bike is NOT titled, as they weren't needed for dirt bikes in Montana. It fired up with one kick on a crisp fall day. It could probably use a tune up, but otherwise it runs and rides smoothly and is being sold as-is. It's loud and smokes a bit, as you'd expect from a vintage 2 stroker. Off-road tires are like new, as is the battery. Everything looks to be all original, with the exception of the front fender, although it is mounted nicely, and looks very nice on the bike.

There aren't many negatives with this one, but a few things worth mentioning: There is a small ding on the tank; two small dings on the oil tank; the seat has been repaired with black tape; one of the levers is missing the knob on the end; the bike starts and runs good, but could probably use some tuning as mentioned above; the speedometer is not currently working, although both the speedo and tachometer are in very nice condition. There is some black tape holding the carb to airbox boot in place.

Please take a close look at the pictures and ask any questions prior to bidding.

I am located in Missoula, MT, just off I-90. Many freight companies have shipping hubs here, so shipping is usually easy to coordinate and set up. I can hold this bike for up to 30 days for you or your shipper to pick it up. Deposit of $100 due on purchase, with full payment via cash or certified bank check due within 7 days after auction's close.

If you have a 0 feedback score, please message before bidding.

Ienatsch, Hill, Russell, Bestwick To Give Speech At Yale Today

Thu, 30 Jan 2014

In what might be considered the most shocking news of 2014 so far, Nick Ienatsch and Ken Hill are going to Yale. While some might think the Chief and Lead instructors at the newly revamped Yamaha Champions Riding School are getting in over their heads, the two are at Yale as lead presenters for “Excellence In Motion: What Motorcycle Racing Can Teach Us About Success,” which begins at 4pm (local time) today.  When put into context, their appearance at one of the nation’s top schools is understandable. Each has had their fair share of success aboard motorcycles, and they will be joined by two more champions on two-wheels, five-time Daytona 200 winner and 1993 World Superbike Champion Scott Russell, and Jamie Bestwick, an avid motorcyclist and winner of eight consecutive X-Games BMX Vert gold medals.

Mark Miller To Ride For Vercarmoto In 2014 TT Zero

Tue, 18 Mar 2014

After finishing in fifth place with Chris McGahan in the SES TT Zero in 2013, Italian based Team Vercarmoto, who made their debut in the event in 2012, has announced that American Mark Miller will ride for them in the 2014 race. American Miller is seen as a specialist in the category and boasts a respectable track record in the Isle of Man TT Zero class with the runner up position in 2011 and 3rd place in 2012 to go with his 2010 race victory. The American is also one of only three riders to break the prestigious 100mph mark around the iconic 37.73 mile TT Mountain Course on an electric bike, a feat he achieved in the 2012 race.

2013 Yamaha XT250 Receives Fuel Injection

Thu, 07 Jun 2012

The Yamaha XT250 dual sport is getting a fuel injection system for the 2013 model year, replacing the previous model’s 33mm Teikei carburetor. Apart from fuel injection and new graphics, the only other changes are a new TCI ignition system in place of the 2012 model’s CDI ignition, and a slightly larger gas tank (2.6 gallons versus 2.4 gallons on last year’s model). The 249cc air-cooled SOHC engine and five-speed transmission remains unchanged.
