1973 RD 350 Yamaha motorcycle.  This motorcycle has been made into a street tracker with the addition/replacement of the following: 

  • new expansion chambers and silencers
  • new gas tank
  • new seat and tail section
  • new carbon fiber head light bucket
  • new chain
  • new air filters
  • new LED signal lights

The new expansion changes gives it extra uuumph from the original power.  Flat black accessories make this bike a real street tracker in every sense!  Starts easy and runs great.  Super fast take off--watch out or you'll be packing the front wheel before you are ready. 

Orignal parts are included in this purchase.  You can change it back to the original RD street bike if you wish. Brake light does not work, but we think it's due to a faulty switch.  We have not replaced this part.

Spotted the link to this short film on a Dutch blog. It's beautifully shot/directed and captures GP rider Mike Duff's recovery from a horrific hip and pelvis injury suffered at the Japanese GP which cost him a six month stay in hospital. Watching him push-start makes you wince just imagining the pain he must have been in.

With the two test riders coming forward to act as replacement riders for the injured Rossi and Aoyama, it brought back memories of the days when the grid would be gifted with wildcard riders from the respective countries. The Japanese rounds were always attended by some of the top guys with experience of the 500GP and MotoGP bikes, through racing them in their domestic championships. What resulted was getting to witness the exciting and talented Japanese riders, and bring new riders to the attention of the teams.
