Yamaha Other description

This 72 Cs5 has been in my family since the early 80's. In 2011 the bike was taken down to bare frame and rebuilt all while carefully cleaning each part. The frame, swingarm, and various parts were sand blasted and powdercoated, The paintwork was done by Street dreams customs out of Ocala Fl where dupont chromabase and chromaclear paint was used. New handle bars, tires, tubes, spokes, plugs, wires, seat, chain etc etc were fitted. The chrome that was not replaced is not perfect but is in GREAT condition for its age. The wiring harness was gone through and the inside of the tank was resealed and lined. In January of 2012 the bike was put in a dry garage untill now. Moving forces sale. I do not have time to get the bike running after sitting the past year so you will need to atleast clean the Carbs. The tank was drained prior to storage. I have video of the bike running before it was parked to show no mechanical issues. Please note* this bike will never be a 100% original CS5 however, it is an awesome, super clean fun bike that gets TONS of attention and thumbs up! This bike is being sold AS IS with a clean FL title and no warranty. Please feel free to ask any questions. THANK YOU!

Lorenzo Signs Two-Year Extension with Yamaha

Thu, 07 Aug 2014

Two-time MotoGP Champion Jorge Lorenzo has signed a contract extension with Yamaha to see him race on the company’s factory team through the 2016 season. The signing comes as no real surprise, following similar two-year contract extensions for teammate Valentino Rossi and Repsol Honda’s Marc Marquez and Dani Pedrosa. Ducati also confirmed it would field Andrea Dovizioso and Andrea Iannone next season, so unless Lorenzo wanted to spend a season or two developing Suzuki‘s or Aprilia‘s new prototypes, Lorenzo’s only option for a factory ride was to re-sign with Yamaha.

2012 Piaggio X10 Maxi-Scooter with ABS, Traction Control and Electronic Suspension

Thu, 19 Apr 2012

The Piaggio X10 slipped a little under the radar at the 2011 EICMA show behind other maxi-scooters such as Yamaha’s T-Max, BMW’s C650GT and C600 Sport and Piaggio’s own Aprilia SRV850. But take a look at some of the features Piaggio’s slapped onto the X10 and you’ll soon learn it’s not to be underestimated. The new flagship of Piaggio’s “Gran Turismo” scooter family, the X10 is equipped with anti-lock brakes anti-slip regulation (i.e.

Community Tip: How-to Completely Remove the Air Induction System on a Yamaha

Fri, 22 May 2009

Alright, maybe this isn’t for everyone, but I thought it was obscure enough to warrant some interest to any motorcyclist. TEZZMIN, a senior member over at the R6MessageNet forums, has posted a nice How-To on removing an ’03-’04 Yamaha R6 ‘s Air Induction System. What does the AIS do?
