Yamaha Other description
The bike is located in Sachse Texas. Basically North Dallas. NO TITLE....Bill Of Sale only I am thinning out my collection of bikes and decided to let this one go. I have had this bike for many many years and it looks very good for being 42 years old! Bike was apparently bought new in Dallas: Carters Yamaha sticker on speedo(see pic) It had a cosmetic makeover years ago and still looks very good!. The bike starts and runs. Was painted close to the Dallas Cowboy colors. I also had a Yamaha JT2 that was redone the same colors. We would ride them at tail gate parties and around the neighborhood. Bike has not run for over 15 years. I put a cup of gas in the tank and it did take awhile to start. It may need a carb cleaning. I did ride it around for a couple miles and it shifted and braked fine. These kind of bikes always amaze me because I always wonder how it made it forty years without getting destroyed! Every bike I had as a kid would get stripped(fenders, lights, etc), spray painted(this was for speed!) and jumped till the bike split in half or the motor blew up..... This thing is a blast to ride! Still has the original fenders in great shape. Tools in the toolbox! This is a very very nice Blue / Silver Yamaha HT1 90cc.. The bike needs a battery but starts without one. tail light still work! Tank emblems are cracked and warped but they are original. The tank does have a ding and a couple gas spots. wheels look great with no rust Petcock works and does not leak but the tab is broken off Front and rear brakes work great. Shifting is very smooth and works great. cables work great and smooth. handle bars look great, and so does the switches. The Body decals look great. front end works great shocks work great but does have pitting on them Air cleaner has some pitting on it also Carb idles great. Seat cover is redone and looks very good. Low Mileage = 3414 Based on the vins, I assume this is the original motor. Vin: HT1-211979 Motor: HT1-211979 Bike is like the suzuki trail hopper, Yamaha JT1 JT2 , gt80, ct70h Bike is sold with a Bill Of Sale ... No Title. Feel free to ask all the questions you want Thanks for looking I have a large barn and can store the bike for an extended amount of time so you can get a great shipping rate. Unique Sounds of the New Yamaha R1
Tue, 06 Jan 2009When Yamaha announced its new R1 literbike last fall, company reps told us about the tractability assets of its new, MotoGP-derived crossplane crankshaft for the four-cylinder engine. It’s unique in that cylinders fire 90-degrees apart, allegedly enabling better grip during acceleration. A byproduct of this design is an exhaust note that is distinctive in this world of cookie-cutter designs.
