Yamaha Other description

CONTACT JEFF AT 570-977-0741.  Up for sale is a 1967 Yamaha 180 Twin Rat Bike with serial # CS1-011605 and 15,147 original miles.  This is a cool old rat bike that will look great in the back of a rat truck. It runs good.  Starts right up on the first or second kick. There is new tires, tubes, battery, points, carburetor floats, and needles and seats. The bike will need a front brake cable. There is a small fuel drip at the fuel shut off. Looks to be a bowl gasket.  There is no title for this bike.  I can recommend a title company that can assist in acquiring a title for this bike.  This is a rare vintage Yamaha that can be enjoyed just the way it is or taken to the next level by the next buyer.  Please take the time to check out all the photos.

Please check my 100% positive feedback and buy with confidence.  Feel free to ask any and all questions. An ebay required $200.00 non-refundable deposit will have to be paid by the buyer using either the buy it now option or the winning buyer at the end of the auction. The preferred and most accepted form of payment would be funds in hand and a local pickup.  Shipping is the financial responsibility of the buyer. I will be happy to recommend previously used shippers. Obviously this bike is sold in as-is condition with no actual or implied warranty. Any questions please contact JEFF at 570-977-0741.  Thanks and good luck.

The Early History Of The Yamaha Champions Riding School

Mon, 22 Sep 2014

This just in from the Yamaha Champions Riding School. And if you believe it, we have some snake oil to sell you… The Yamaha Champions Riding School didn’t just spring from the tarmac like a jack-in-the-box with light rebound damping. No.

Ben Spies Video Interview on 2012 MotoGP Season [Video]

Thu, 22 Mar 2012

Yamaha Factory Racing today posted on its YouTube page a video interview with Ben “Elbowz” Spies, in which Spies discusses the soon to start 2012 season of MotoGP. In his usual calm, cool and under control manner Spies speaks frankly on how he prefers the 1000cc GP machine, saying it suits his style (elbows out!) better than the previous seasons’ 800cc bikes because the extra torque and horsepower of the liter-class bikes are, essentially, better matched to his physical stature. Spies also answers honestly the question of who he thinks he needs to keep an eye in 2012, including his teammate, Jorge Lorenzo.

MotoGP to Re-Visit Rookie Rule

Tue, 19 Jun 2012

MotoGP organizers are re-opening discussion for the series’ rookie rule which prevents new riders from entering the series with factory teams. Introduced following the 2009 MotoGP season, the rule was designed to give satellite teams the chance to field young up-and-coming talents  they otherwise wouldn’t have been able to sign. The theory was the rule would protect the satellite teams and spread out the talent pool.
