The revised 2013 Yamaha FZ8 features both compression and rebound damping adjustability on the new front fork, while the new shock now features both preload and compression damping adjustability, as well as a stiffer spring. In addition, new fuel-injection settings provide a sportier engine feeling, quicker revving power character, and more direct and linear feeling from the throttle to the rear wheel. Glen Richards back with Embassy Racing
Wed, 27 Oct 2010One of the unsung heroes of the BSB paddock over the past few seasons, has to be 2010 Superstock 1000 runner up Glen Richards. A nasty tumble in at the Brands Hatch opener lead to four DNFs, but once back on track he pushed the dominant BMWs hard, finishing on the podium eight times. While many were trading their grannies to fund new S1000RRs, Richards kept the faith and rode the wheels off his Padgett’s Honda Fireblade.
The Japanese oddity to naming teams
Wed, 28 Jul 2010Whenever the calendar shifts to a major Japanese race, such as the Suzuka 8hr, one of the more amusing things to do is glance down the team sheet This years highlight for me has to be team Moto Bum, with other stand outs including aprilia D.D.BOYS, Team Etching Factory Yamaha and MITO MOTO & e'freaks Honda. Looking back through the ages some of the great Japanese team names have been Burning Blood Racing Team, Dog Fight Racing and Team Moto Space amongst others. 2014 Yamaha YZF-R125 Announced for Europe
Fri, 14 Feb 2014Yamaha has updated its YZF-R125 for the European market, refreshing one of the top-selling 125cc sportbikes on the continent. For 2014, the new R125 receives an upside-down fork, revised fuel-injection system, front air-intake and an R6-inspired fairing design. The engine remains unchanged from the previous version, with a single-cylinder displacing 124.7cc.
