The revised 2013 Yamaha FZ8 features both compression and rebound damping adjustability on the new front fork, while the new shock now features both preload and compression damping adjustability, as well as a stiffer spring. In addition, new fuel-injection settings provide a sportier engine feeling, quicker revving power character, and more direct and linear feeling from the throttle to the rear wheel. Yamaha Trademarks Design for Three-Cylinder Sport-Tourer
Mon, 11 Aug 2014Yamaha has registered a trademark for the design of a sport-touring model based on the FZ-09. Filed with European Union’s Office for Harminization in the Internal Market, the trademarked design reveals a brand new model sharing the same frame and engine as the FZ-09 (known in Europe as the MT-09.) Discuss this at our Yamaha FZ-09 Forum. The new model will likely be compete against motorcycles such as the Suzuki V-Strom 1000 and a rumored S1000RR-based model from BMW.
New 2012 Yamaha Zuma 50F Four-Stroke Scooter Unveiled
Wed, 08 Jun 2011Yamaha unveiled the new 2012 Zuma 50F four-stroke scooter, the replacement for the two-stroke Zuma. The new 2012 Yamaha Zuma 50F is powered by a 49cc liquid-cooled fuel injected four-stroke engine, an update from the 2011 Zuma’s 49cc air-cooled carbureted two-stroke engine. According to Yamaha, the Zuma 50F claims an estimated 132 mpg compared to the two-stroke Zuma’s claimed 123 mpg.
