Yamaha To Host A Full Slate Of Activities During Laguna Seca MotoGP Weekend July 19-21

If you’re going to be at the Red Bull U.S. Grand Prix at Mazda Raceway Laguna Seca, July 19-21, be sure to stop by the Yamaha Marketplace, located between turns 5 and 6, as this will be the eighth consecutive year Yamaha and the raceway have worked together to bring race fans entertainment throughout the weekend. MotoGP to Hold Official Test in Argentina; South American Nation Returning to Calendar for 2014

Dorna Sports announced there will be a MotoGP test at Argentina’s Circuito Internacional Termas de Rio Hondo in July to allow teams to prepare for the track’s expected addition to the 2014 MotoGP calendar. Argentina was actually supposed to join the MotoGP tour this season, but the round was scrapped because of a dispute between the country and Spain after the Argentine government seized control of a Repsol subsidiary. Repsol is, of course, a prominent sponsor of several teams including Honda‘s factory team.

Tommy Aquino Draws Moto2 Wild Card for Indianapolis Grand Prix

Former AMA Daytona Sportbike racer Tommy Aquino is coming back to the U.S. to compete as a wild card entry in the Moto2 race at the 2012 Indianapolis Grand Prix. The California native has been racing in Spain’s CEV Moto2 class this season for Canadian-owned FOGI Racing this year.
