Yamaha FZ description

2002 Yamaha FZ1 in largely original, unmolested condition with low miles.  Third local, adult owner.  Excellent condition, never down, never raced, with one minor scratch on the right side fairing above the FZ1 logo.  All original except for the following:  Zero Gravity darker windscreen, K&N air filter (have the original), 12v trickle charger plug in wired into outlet on the left side, aftermarket (louder) horn, tank bra, aftermarket forward cruising pegs (removable).
Carburetors recently balanced and bike serviced by local Yamaha dealer.  No marks on foot pegs or bar ends.  Clutch is good.  Tires have less than 3000 miles on them.  Brakes and brake fluid are in good condition.  Shocks and chain are good. Seat is as new.  Battery is one year old.  Original exhaust system.  Center stand as well as side stand.  No rust, corrosion or dents.
998cc R1 derivative bike with 141 hp and 78 ft-lbs of torque: 5.6 gallon fuel tank: twin front disc brakes and single rear disc brake: adjustable front and rear suspension: steel tubular frame weighing in at 509 lbs.  Absolutely stupendous sport-tourer.  I cannot ride this bike comfortably due to knees (too old, too tall), and am not inclined to modify the seat to fit.
Clear Washington title in my name.  Pickup/delivery is the responsibility of the purchaser, but I will assist in any reasonable manner.  No particular hurry to pickup after purchase/payment as the bike is inside, secure and out of the way.  If you have any questions, don't hesitate to ask.

Mark Miller To Ride For Vercarmoto In 2014 TT Zero

Tue, 18 Mar 2014

After finishing in fifth place with Chris McGahan in the SES TT Zero in 2013, Italian based Team Vercarmoto, who made their debut in the event in 2012, has announced that American Mark Miller will ride for them in the 2014 race. American Miller is seen as a specialist in the category and boasts a respectable track record in the Isle of Man TT Zero class with the runner up position in 2011 and 3rd place in 2012 to go with his 2010 race victory. The American is also one of only three riders to break the prestigious 100mph mark around the iconic 37.73 mile TT Mountain Course on an electric bike, a feat he achieved in the 2012 race.

Old boys up front and where are the new 600 Gixers?

Mon, 28 Feb 2011

As I’ve been gagging for the new race season to kick off so it was almost a pleasure getting up at stupid 0 clock to watch the World Superbike Championship  opener at Phillip Island last weekend. I have to say Messrs Burnicle and Whitham were on form although I was disappointed there were none of the usual verbal attacks on each other that always add to the entertainment.    I’m sure they will put things right soon but the world superbike regulars must have been disheartened that Moto GP veterans nailed five of the six available rostrum slots.
