I am selling my 1995 Yamaha FZR 600 Turbo. It's been a blast to ride since owning it, but now I'd have to sell it as I have too many toys and I need the space on my garage.When I 1st bought it about two years ago, it was pretty much parts and pieces. I built it back up and got it running good. This bike has never been wrecked nor layed down.Not perfect but its clean, runs and drives. Definitely 1 of a kind bike.The Good:*Rides and Shifts Good*CMC Custom Rims*Custom Paint Scheme*Re-upholstered seats to match paint scheme*Walbro Fuel Pump*Mallory Fuel Pressure Regulator*DSM EVOIII T3 Turbo*Oil Scavenging Pump Turbo cooler/lubricationThe Bad:*Been sitting for a while so carbs need to be cleaned good and tuned to run great (I can still get it started though, but its hard)*Kinda dirty - needs to be washed.*Front Right Fork is leaking - I would say that the forks will need to get refreshed/rebuilt (new fork seals and fork oil) - before you decide to ride it around*Has a little scratch on the right side fairing from it tipping over at my driveway. Wed, 06 Jun 2012I was both nervous and excited for my first ever reverse direction track day last week at Knockhill. From rushing downhill into the left hand off camber hairpin to sweeping up onto the start/finish, nothing bears any resemblance to riding round clockwise. I actually raced my 350LC in the opposite direction in 1982 but it still took a few laps to get my head round what essentially is a brand new track for Scotland.

Fri, 20 Apr 2012Authorities in British Columbia, Canada, have impounded a 2006 Yamaha R1 believed to have starred in a YouTube video reaching speeds of 299 kph (185 mph) on a freeway. The onboard video, embedded after the jump, captures the Yamaha weaving through traffic, and often lane-splitting between other vehicles, covering a 4.67 mile stretch of the Trans-Canada Highway in about a minute and 56 seconds. That translates to an average speed of 144.6 mph.
