Yamaha FJR tech info

Yamaha FJR description
You are bidding on a 2007 Yamaha FJR 1300AE. This bike is in exceptional condition with low miles. It has been ridden on average of just over 1300 miles a year. It has been adult owned and ridden all of its life. This bike has an aftermarket windscreen manufactured by RIFLE, note that the windscreen is height adjustable with the push of a switch while riding, direct from the factory. (the orig. factory windscreen will go with the bike and is in good cond.) It also has back rest, highway pegs, soft handlebar grips, handlebar risers, new tires. It also has factory grip warmers which work awesome during those late fall rides. The hard-bags are lockable and easily detachable. They can be carried into your hotel room. The bags are bigger than they look. They can accommodate a full face helmet.
Miles on the bike are currently 11,875 and might be slightly more as I might ride between now and the end of the auction. If anyone needs clarifications or has questions I can be reached at 508-494-5657. Should I be unable to answer please leave a message and I will return your call promptly. Just for the bidders knowledge this model is the "E" model. E stands for electric shift. To clarify, you might notice in the pics that the bike does not have a clutch lever. Yes, the bike has to be shifted by the rider but all you have to do is to shift the shifter with your foot as you normally do OR with the push of a button on the left handlebar, the bike can be shifted with your left thumb. It is really nice while your feet are on the highway pegs. When the hand shift button is engaged you can shift with either your foot or your thumb. When you stop at a light the clutch dis-engages by itself. Yamaha took this shift technology from F1 Racing. It works great. I have tried to answer any questions I can think of. Happy Bidding. I have title in hand. Please be advised that this bike is for sale locally and I reserve the right to end the auction early. |

Day 7 Dakar 2014: Barreda Wins Another
Mon, 13 Jan 2014After a day of rest, Sunday’s stage seven was characterized by rain during the night and a new Dakar country – Bolivia. After an early start at 4:30 in the morning, the first 62 miles of the special stage into Bolivia had to be shortened due to rain and poor visibility, low-hanging clouds that prevented the helicopters from taking off creating security issues. The route led across the Andes and towards the Bolivian border.
