Yamaha YZF description

Hello,

Up for sale is my rare and beautiful bike. 1998 Yamaha R1 with a clean title. Engine runs incredibly smooth, no gear issues (It was common for these bikes to have a 2nd gear issue). Brand new Pirelli Rosso tires, chrome rims, Like new Scott stabilizer, Phone charger and battery digital meter. This bike is incredibly beautiful and rare to find in this condition. I have the original rims that I will pass to the new owner, some extra parts as well, such as gasket for the carb, etc (All OEM Yamaha).

It has 32,842 miles. It was service, new chain, sprockets, battery, brake pads, brake fluid and radiator coolant was flushed.

The bike is 18 years old, please keep that in mind. People gathers around the bike every time I park it in a coffee shop, etc. "Old school" is well appreciated for the ones who really know about motorcycles.

I have the original jacket and pants that came out to accompany the bike made by a designer at that moment in excellent condition, we may discuss extras if it fits you. It has a bad boy horn. You'll be heard!!!.

It has always been garaged and covered with a blanket. You could use u-ship. I have used them in the past always with great results.

Buyer is responsible for shipping arrangements and fees.

I'll do my very best to accommodate any buyer arrangements for pick up as long as I get a 24 hs. notice.

Thank you.

Thu, 07 Jun 2012

The Yamaha XT250 dual sport is getting a fuel injection system for the 2013 model year, replacing the previous model’s 33mm Teikei carburetor. Apart from fuel injection and new graphics, the only other changes are a new TCI ignition system in place of the 2012 model’s CDI ignition, and a slightly larger gas tank (2.6 gallons versus 2.4 gallons on last year’s model). The 249cc air-cooled SOHC engine and five-speed transmission remains unchanged.

AMA Pro Racing Announces Basic Twins Flat Track Class for 2014 Season

Fri, 12 Apr 2013

AMA Pro Racing announced a new class for Flat Track racing designed to provide a new stepping stone for up-and-coming Pro-licensed racers, replacing the Pro Singles class in 2014. The new class, to be called Basic Twins, is more or less a revival of the Basic Expert Twins division that ran during the 2007 and 2008 seasons, but dropped when the Pro Singles class was introduced for 2009. The new class will give young racers a chance to showcase their skills on Twins, easing their transition to eventually enter the Grand National Expert Twins class.
