Yamaha YZF description

This is the predecessor of the well known R1. Bike runs and shifts good with lots of power. Haven't really got a chance to open it up but there is always extra throttle leftover. This is 1 beefy bike that's super comfortable for you and a passenger whether its long distance or on the the strip. Never raced or stunted since I've owned the bike. New chain, new sprocket and new rear tire with receipts to prove it. I am looking to upgrade to something newer, My loss your gain. Can be a great start for street fighter, track bike, custom ride or kept as is. Could use rear brakes and maybe a fuse for turn signals. Clean green Michigan title also willing to include matching leather jacket with inner shell for $100..... $2400 O.B.O. Delivery available pending on location- No Trades Thanks ....... text or call B for more pics or information

Day 11 Dakar 2014: Coma Wins, Extends Overall Lead

Thu, 16 Jan 2014

Day 11 marked the longest stage to date of the Dakar Rally, as the competitors tackled the 605km (376 miles) special stage, covering a variety of terrain, hard ground, mountains, plus 120km (75 miles) of sand and dunes in the Copiapo area. Despite this, and a fall at the beginning of the stage, Marc Coma again demonstrated his status as boss of the Dakar 2014, by picking up his third victory of the year, further reinforcing his position at the top of the general standings. Five-time Dakar winner Cyril Depres opened the piste for 400km before dropping slightly to finish just 02:31 behind Marc Coma in first.

Thu, 26 Jan 2023

Everythings installed and initial impressions. It’s been about a month since we introduced Motorcycle.com’s 2022 Yamaha MT-10 SP semi-long-term project bike. In case you forgot the premise of this whole thing, Yamaha offered us the opportunity to hang on to an MT-10 SP for an extended period of time, and since I have a soft spot for the bike, I decided to give it some tasteful upgrades to address some key weaknesses while also unleashing some trapped potential.

Yamaha Named Official Motorcycle Of Road America

Thu, 02 May 2013

The economic downturn hit the motorcycle world particularly hard, as many factory-backed road racing efforts closed shop. The decision, while unfortunate, isn’t hard to understand, as racing at the highest levels isn’t cheap, and a factory involvement means added pressure to succeed, which ultimately means spending more money to do so. Through it all, however, Yamaha has remained involved with the sport, fielding factory teams and sponsoring various riding schools and even racetracks.
