This beautiful Yamaha R-1 is a 1 owner bike. It has a Power Commander Ignition and a Graves Shorty pipe that has a throaty roar. This bike was set up professionally/dyno'd and boasts 154hp and 77fpt. With the bike comes 2 keys, owners manual, and dyno/mapping paperwork. This bike is not for the faint at heart! The bike has the LED hideaway front signals and the rear signals are LED's built into the brake light. In addition to the matching matte grey rear tail cover you will also get the factory seat. The bike was just serviced and has a brand new Michelin Pilot Power up front. The R-1 has the Moto-GP traction control system and the D-Mode electronic throttle response control. The powerplant is a fuel injected and liquid cooled in-line 4 cyl with a 6-speed tranny and chain drive. The front brakes offer dual disks and 6 piston calipers while the rear brakes are single disk with single caliper. Weight is 454 lbs wet. This bike contains both the "beauty and the beast." Thu, 09 Aug 2012Yamaha has lowered its 2012 year-end sales forecast by 14.3% after reporting disappointing first half results. The Japanese manufacturer reported a profit of 14.5 billion yen (US$184.3 million), a 49.8% decrease from a profit of 29 billion yen reported in the first half of 2011. According to the company’s financial report for the quarter ended June 30, 2012, Yamaha‘s net sales totaled 632.2 billion yen (US$8.04 billion), a 4.6% decrease from net sales of 663.1 billion yen reported in the same quarter of 2011.

Thu, 16 Jan 2014In preparation for Anaheim 2, round 3 of the AMA Supercross championship, a few Yamaha teams are embracing the past for team colors. The CycleTrader.com Rock River Yamaha team is going back to Yamaha’s corporate roots with a White and Red themed look that could be found on YZs in the latter half of the 1980s and into the 90s. This color scheme also graced the prototype YZ400F Doug Henry rode into the history books with his win at the 1997 Las Vegas Supercross.
