Yamaha YZF-R description

I have over 70 pictures and a video. Email me and I'll send you the links. Ebay doesn't allow me to insert it here.

You are looking at the cleanest and most well maintained R1's out there. And I've taken enough pics and video to prove it. I've also priced it to sell fast.
  • This R1 has NEVER been raced
  • This R1 has NEVER been dropped or leaned over
  • This R1 has NEVER been in ANY accident
  • This R1 has NEVER been modified from the factory (except eliminating the rear turn signals)
  • This R1 has NEVER had its front wheel off the ground
  • This R1 has NEVER been over-revved
  • This R1 has NEVER been ridden in the rain
  • This R1 has ALWAYS had Mobile 1 synthetic
  • This R1 has ALWAYS been garaged and covered
  • This R1 has ALWAYS been washed, waxed and lubed on a regular basis
  • This R1 has ALWAYS been ridden with respect and never pushed to its outer limits
  • This R1 is ready to ride and needs NOTHING
Here's the deal, I'm the original owner. I bought this R1 mostly because of the Yamaha reputation for absolute perfection in their motorcycles and because this bike is the best looking Japanese sport bike out there. This R1 is the Ferrari of sport bikes, she looks fast (and is) but yet doesn't over state the fact with tons of stickers and "in your face" paint jobs. This bike makes a statement because it is incredibly good looking and also insanely quick on the throttle. Any time I bring her out for a cruise people stop and stare. It also doesn't hurt that all my gear is designed to match.

Unfortunately, I have to find her a new home because I'm more interested in trail riding now and not street riding. I only have the energy, garage space, and money to upkeep one bike (to my standards). However, if you're looking for a "bang for your buck" R1 then this one probably isn't it. This R1 is way too special, well maintained and perfect to beat others purely on price. However, you get what you pay for and I would put this R1 up against anything out there. When you see it in person your jaw will drop.

If you use the Buy it Now you will get extras. If you give me a Best Offer you will not receive the extras. I will sell them separately. The Extras include:
  • Mint condition matching Shoei helmet (less than one year old) and no signs of wear
  • Mint condition matching Scorpion jacket with liner and no signs of wear
  • Yamaha hat
  • Mono seat cowl (OEM)
  • Yamaha service/repair manual (as PDF)
  • 2008 Yamaha brochure (bike was purchased when 2008's were out)
  • Extra red key
  • Front and Rear red wheel stands
  • Extra oil filter
I have a clear and original title and the two factory keys with manufacturer number tab.

R1 noise, bike porn and a quick lap

Tue, 24 Apr 2012

Trawling the internet for a sound clip of the Crossplane Crank Yamaha R1 on full chatter, I came across this: a few fast laps on board with New Zealand Superbike racer Tony Rees as he works the CABS Throttle Blipper on his 2011 R1. (Skip to 7:35 for the fast ones.) CABS is a system used by Superbike teams that makes use of the R1’s digitally controlled throttle. When you change up a gear, the bike blips in the perfect amount of revs to save time on track and make downshifts as quick and easy as clutch-less upshifts.

2011 AMA Pro Daytona Sportbike Champion Danny Eslick

Tue, 06 Sep 2011

Danny Eslick won his second career AMA Daytona Sportbike Championship, adding another #1 plate to the one he won in 2009. The Geico Powersports RMR Suzuki GSX-R600 rider won three races this season and added another five podium finishes to win the title by a 275-256 margin over Monster Energy Graves Yamaha’s Josh Herrin. Eslick clinched the title after finishing sixth in the first race of the 2011 season finale at New Jersey Motorsports Park.

Jeremy Burgess Out and Silvano Galbusera In as Valentino Rossi’s Crew Chief

Mon, 11 Nov 2013

Valentino Rossi has parted ways with longtime crew chief Jeremey Burgess, ending a partnership that extended across 14 years and three different manufacturers while capturing seven MotoGP and 500cc Grand Prix World Championships. Burgess will be replaced by Louis CK lookalike Silvano Galbusera, a veteran crew chief and mechanic whose most extensive experience comes from World Superbike and Supersport racing. As crew chief and/or technical director, Galbusera has worked with an impressive roster of riders including Troy Corser, Noriyuki Haga, Cal Crutchlow and Ben Spies.
