2006 YAMAHA R1 RAVEN WITH LOW MILES 3,482. THIS IS A ONE OWNER BIKE IN GREAT CONDITION, SMALL COSMETIC MODS WERE DONE, SUCH AS SLIDERS AND IMPROVED WAVE ROTORS, LICENSE PLATE RELOCATED AND STEALTH SIDE TURN SIGNALS, ECT. NO ENGINE MODS OR AFTER MARKET EXHAUST WERE EVER DONE. I HAVE NEVER DROPPED BIKE OR HAD PLASTICS REPLACED. EXTERIOR I WOULD RATE 9 OUT OF 10 WITH VERY LIGHT SCRATCHES. BIKE WAS SERVICED LAST YEAR WITH LESS THAN 300 MILES SINCE THEN, BIKE IS INSPECTED UNTIL THE END OF THIS MONTH (JUNE 2016). SELLING BIKE DO TO NO TIME TIME TO RIDE, AS YOU YOU CAN TELL BY THE LOW MILES. THIS IS A GREAT BIKE AND CAN KEEP UP WITH ANY OF THE NEW BIKES. FRONT HEADLIGHTS DUE HAVE IMPERFECTIONS DUE TO BEING PLACED TO CLOSE TO GARAGE HEATER, STEEL WORK PERFECTLY FINE ONLY COSMETIC. BIKE ALSO COMES WITH COVER AND FRONT AND REAR STANDS. THIS BIKE IS BEING SOLD AS IS AND THERE ARE NO RETURNS, FEEL FREE TO ARRANGE FOR INSPECTION BEFORE BIDDING. When Yamaha announced its new R1 literbike last fall, company reps told us about the tractability assets of its new, MotoGP-derived crossplane crankshaft for the four-cylinder engine. It’s unique in that cylinders fire 90-degrees apart, allegedly enabling better grip during acceleration. A byproduct of this design is an exhaust note that is distinctive in this world of cookie-cutter designs.

When I first started racing about a thousand years ago, my local stomping ground was a place called Three Sisters near Wigan.  It wasn’t glamorous but it was brilliant. An hour from home and with about a million corners crammed into just a km of tarmac. The Three Sisters was a reference to the three coal slag heaps that had once occupied the site before.

In a year that saw Yamaha riders James Stewart, Valentino Rossi, and Ben Spies capture the perfect “trifecta” of World Championships, perhaps one of the most memorable moments for race fans around the world, was “King” Kenny Roberts’ return ride at the infamous Indy Mile in late August. As a year end surprise, Yamaha is pleased to offer race fans around the world a video of this monumental occasion.
