Up for auction a 2005 Yamaha R1 Raven, I am selling only because Im starting a new business and need a new truck and tools more than a bike right now. As you can see its in great condition. Mature Adult 2 owner bike, heated garage stored in winters. New Pirelli Angel GT high speed rated tires with approx 1800 highway miles. Bike has 18,040 mostly highway miles with several trips to Indianapolis @ 1000 miles per long weekend trip. Brake fluids flushed and replaced, Oil changed and 58 point safety inspection completed when tires were replaced. Willing to personally ship up to 500 miles from Iowa City Iowa for $1 loaded mile. Today, however, Yamaha Factory Racing rider Cyril Despres took his second special stage win of 2014 and his 33rd career win for Dakar. Coma, despite taking a 15 minute penalty, finished second for the day, maintaining his overall lead.
2012 US Motorcycle Sales Results – Industry Reports 2.6% Increase

Yamaha, Honda Donate to Thailand Flood Relief Efforts
Thu, 20 Oct 2011Honda and Yamaha announced relief aid for the people of Thailand affected by severe flooding that has swamped large parts of the country since late July. Yamaha and its Thai subsidiaries are donating a relief package worth about 30 million yen (US$390,000) including 3,000 life jackets. Yamaha is evaluating what items to provide including outboard motors.
