Features A light aluminum frame housing a patented YPVS Power valve-equipped ripper of an engine results in an awesome power-to-weight ratio. The YZ250 is ready to race out of the crate, complete with an aluminum handlebar, titanium foot pegs, gripper seat, and Excel rims. Ultra lightweight means nimble handling with less fatigue. Wide, cleated, folding titanium foot pegs are lightweight and provide excellent comfort, grip, and ground clearance. Special-design gripper type seat and fuel tank, forward-canted steering crown and low handlebar provide excellent movement and more comfortable ergonomics for riders. Wide-diameter fuel tank cap ensures easier usage, while larger tank opening means faster, hassle-free refueling. A light and strong aluminum handlebar in adjustable mounts means comfort and control. Maybe the Evo class is the future for WSB?
Thu, 05 May 2011Did we see the future of World Superbike racing last weekend at the BSB event? Possibly, but only if everyone is on Evo spec machines in 2012. By setting the 2nd fastest lap in race one and running second for a while in race two, the brilliant Alex Lowes proved that with a good grid position an Evo spec machine can be competitive for part race distance at least.

In case you forgot the premise of this whole thing, Yamaha offered us the opportunity to hang on to an MT-10 SP for an extended period of time, and since I have a soft spot for the bike, I decided to give it some tasteful upgrades to address some key weaknesses while also unleashing some trapped potential.

But fear not, as while most of the motorcycle world was focused on Intermot, Yamaha released a video teasing a “new era” supersport announcement for Nov.
