Yamaha YZ description

2012 Yamaha YZ125, 2012 YAMAHA YZ125The secret to going fast is the ability to carry momentum, aggressively but smoothly. Learn it with the YZ125.
For racers looking to make a serious run at motocross success, spend time on a YZ125 two-stroke. Not only does it teach you to be aggressive, but you'll learn how important it is to maintain a smooth, consistent line around the racetrack. Remember, it's those who slow down the least that win races. A high revving, quick accelerating engine gets you out of the hole and out of corners on par with any 250 four-stroke, and a plush suspension package delivers confidence in the roughest conditions. The YZ125: a solid foundation for any racing career.

Yamaha's Coming Out With a Race-Spec R1 In 2023

Tue, 06 Sep 2022

But there's a catch: It's only available in Europe. At least for now. In a move further supporting my argument that R1s are purpose-built racebikes with lights and mirrors to make them legal on the roads, for 2023 Yamaha is introducing the R1 GYTR – an R1 prepared specifically for track duty, without any of the homologation pieces for roadworthiness (don’t worry, the standard R1 isn’t going anywhere).

Mackenzie Tricker Looks To Pad WMX Points Lead At Glen Helen Raceway Sunday

Thu, 10 Apr 2014

Having won the opening two rounds of the 2014 Women’s Motocross Championship (WMX) – at the AMA sanctioned Ricky Carmichael Amateur Supercross at Daytona International Speedway in Florida, and at the James Stewart Freestone Spring Championship in Wortham, Texas, Australia’s Mackenzie Tricker comes into this weekend’s race at Glen Helen Raceway in San Bernardino, California, with momentum on her side and a 17-point lead in the series standings. Round three of the Women’s Motocross Championship (WMX) will run in conjunction with the FMF California Classic, which runs from April 9 through April 13, with both WMX motos taking place on Sunday. So far, Tricker has won three of the four motos held to date, and the Yamaha-backed rider is hoping to pad her lead in the series standings with a good finish this weekend.
