Yamaha YZ tech info
Yamaha YZ description
For sale is a 2012 Yamaha YZ450F stunt motorcycle that was used on
screen in the 2015 movie Point Break. I was told it was one of 3 blue
and white bikes used in the filming as well as other productions. This one was used in the long distance shots in the beginning of the movie. It was
sold without plastics and the custom graphics that were on them. The
plastics are new with the decals placed as close as possible, but not exact, to the
originals. The frame has been painted black for use in another
production. It has Renthal bars, Works Connection skid plate, Hinson
clutch cover, KYB forks and FMF exhaust. The TLD grips are worn and
torn. It starts and runs great...very powerful. Only 29 hours on the
engine. Comes with a California title in my name, current California
"Red Sticker" offroad registration, a copy of the invoice for the rental
and purchase of the bike totaling $9500, a copy of the California
release of liability between motocross racer Darrin Hoeft (the former
owner) and Interpol Pictures LLC, bill of sale, and certificate of authenticity. All
taxes and transfer fees not included and buyer will be responsible for
pick up or shipping. A release of liability must be filled out at the
time of the purchase.

Stoner explains the tank slapper
Mon, 03 Oct 2011Casey Stoner looked all set to win at Motegi, after translating his pole position into an early race-lead. But coming over the crest on the back straight his bike momentarily lost control in a tank slapper. Regaining composure the championship leader was forced to pump his brakes to get the pads back in place, with the rear-wheel bouncing in the air he ran out of time and space to make the 90 degree right hander and was forced to run into the gravel.
Build your own Yamaha VMax
Tue, 15 Jun 2010For the origami fans out there, Yamaha have a printable Paper Craft version of their VMax motorcycle (or should that be PMax - P for paper obviously) Download each of the five individual PDF pages and get folding. Might want to stock up on printer ink and A4 paper though as it looks like it will be a frustrating model. As it looks fairly impossible and time consuming I'm putting the challenge out for anyone to go out and complete the paper model themself.
