Presenting the 2003 YZ250F four-stroke. Poked and prodded from nose to tail, this quarter-liter wonder-bike has been fine-tuned to the tiniest detail, starting with all-new bodywork and styling that creates an even more aggressive riding position while allowing maximum rider movement. Screaming-fast revs, lightning-quick throttle response and potent low-rev torque are three of the high-performance perks served up by the YZ250Fs exclusive 5-valve cylinder head technology. An all-new frame boasts lighter-weight and greater lateral rigidity for sharper handling with minimal flex. Thoroughly retooled suspension coupled with a lighter swingarm delivers more compliant, stiction-free damping action for smoother handling. And all-new front and rear disc brake componentry ensures even stronger, more progressive stopping power. The YZ250F. Bring on the competition.

Yamaha Named Official Motorcycle Of Road America

Thu, 02 May 2013

The decision, while unfortunate, isn’t hard to understand, as racing at the highest levels isn’t cheap, and a factory involvement means added pressure to succeed, which ultimately means spending more money to do so. Through it all, however, Yamaha has remained involved with the sport, fielding factory teams and sponsoring various riding schools and even racetracks.

This news should come as a surprise to nobody, but it’s still equally as exciting to finally get the official confirmation: Yamaha is bringing an updated MT-10 to the US. Maybe more exciting is the announcement that Yamaha is also bringing an MT-10 SP here as well. We reported earlier this month that a new MT-10 was coming, but at the time, the report was only confirmed for Europe.

2015 Yamaha FZ-07 Certified by California Air Resources Board

Tue, 20 May 2014

Although Yamaha has yet to announce the FZ-07 for American consumption, new documents from the California Air Resources Board lead us to believe it’s on its way to U.S. dealers. The FZ-07 was first revealed last fall at EICMA as the MT-07, which is the name it is being sold under in Europe, Japan and other markets.
