Yamaha YZ description

2003 Yamaha YZ 250.In very nice shape. Its been my personal bike for four years. In 2012 I combed the whole state of NY and found this bike and bought it.It came from Fort Ann NY.Someone took very good care of it.In the time I have had it I returned it more towards stock.I have the VForce reeds but put the stock cage back in.I replaced all the linkage bearings with OEM Yamaha parts-only the bottom one was loose but I changed them all. This bike runs and handles awesome-It runs so well.I would never have thought of selling it but Im a state worker dealing with BS.Tires are half life.Has a fresh top end and I have the old piston and rings.Didnt need it but I did anyways.Has only had brand new air filters as it does right now.I am in Northern NY.If you are the winning bidder and you pay the $150.00 deposit I will help out-meet you half way to get the bike to you if you are in this area. That way you could start and ride the motorcycle.I would go as far as Syracuse-Plattsburg-Ogdensburg or Utica.Any farther you are on your own.And if you are from Canada its your responsibility to get it back to Canada And I will not deliver to Canada. This bike has No title-just a bill of sale. You can paypal me the 150 deposit but the rest will be paid in US funds.Any questions call me 518 390 0864-Thank you

Day 2 Dakar 2014: Sunderland Wins First Special Stage

Mon, 06 Jan 2014

Honda won the second day of competition with Team HRC’s Sam Sunderland claiming victory in the first special stage of this year’s Dakar. Sunderland has had a frustrating time at previous Dakars, dropping out after three days of racing in 2012 and withdrawing a month before last year’s event due to fracturing both his wrists. Today, however, Sunderland made a grand entrance into the club of elite riders by brilliantly winning his first special stage of this year’s Dakar. Having started well behind his teammate, Joan Barreda, the 23-year old Brit superbly overtook Michael Metge and Juan Pedrero on the first part of the route.

Yamaha Announces AMA Road Racing Teams For 2013

Wed, 30 Jan 2013

Today, Yamaha Motor Corporation, USA, has announced its U.S. road racing teams to compete in the 2013 GEICO Motorcycle AMA Pro Racing season, which kicks off in March at the famed Daytona International Speedway.  Superbike In the AMA Pro National Guard Superbike division, Yamaha is fielding “Team Josh,” as three-time and defending class champion, Josh Hayes once again teams up with Josh Herrin, the 2012 AMA Rookie of the Year. Despite setting single-season records for the most SuperBike wins, the most consecutive SuperBike wins, and the most SuperBike poles, the elder Josh hasn’t lost any of his competitive fire. During the off-season, Josh signed a two-year contract to stay with Monster Energy/Graves/Yamaha because he loves the team and he still feels that he’s got a lot of unfinished business to attend to.

Yamaha R1 rider lowsides on left-hander

Tue, 23 Mar 2010

THIS GUY'S lucky he doesn't get flicked over the top, after losing the back end of his Yamaha YZF-R1 on a twisty section of mountain road. He looks pretty miffed at the result; we think he got away lightly. It could have been soooo much worse if the rear tyre had gripped and lobbed the rider over the top.
