Yamaha YZ description

2002 Yamaha YZ 250 - NO RESERVE Auction!

2002 Yamaha YZ 250 with California GREEN Sticker.  This is the last year of Green Stickers for two strokes.  This is a very clean bike that runs perfectly.  Well maintained and needs nothing.  The bike is in excellent condition, starts easily, and lots of explosive two stroke power.  Local desert and trail ridden, not raced motocross.  It's a great bike and I hate to see it go, but I made the move to a big four stroke and I can't keep both.

Bike is basically stock with only the following bolt-on modifications:  Allied Fork Clamps, Gripper seat cover, ProTaper handlebars and pad, Pro Circuit Works exhaust pipe (no dents), Pro Circuit R-30 stainless steel silencer/spark arrester, Carbon frame shields, Anodized (blue) aluminum rear sprocket.  No engine modifications.

New fork seals, new front brakes, recently replaced chain (O-Ring).

Comes with everything pictured:

  • Bike Stand and bolt-on Kick Stand
  • Two extra expansion chamber exhaust pipes
  • Two extra silencers
  • Two extra new spark plugs (not pictured)
  • Shop Manual

This bike needs nothing and is ready to ride as is.

Pink Slip in hand.  CASH ONLY.

Motorcycle sold in this auction is the EXACT item pictured and comes with everything pictured and as listed above.

LOCAL PICKUP ONLY.

Baby Yamaha SR125

Tue, 23 Dec 2014

For two months, the mechanics managed to turn the "ugly duckling" born in 1989 into a masterpiece. A new subframe and seat were made for the motorcycle, a Renthal handlebar and branded CRD controls were installed. The engine has been completely restored, the crankcase covers are sanded and varnished.

OEMs Plug into Electric Bikes

Sat, 01 Nov 2008

KTM introduced its prototype electric motorcycle earlier this week, and electric bike manufacturer Zero Motorcycles almost immediately responded by opening sales on its 2009 Zero X dirt bike (look for our review of the 2008 model next week!). But these two companies aren’t the only ones exploring the possibilities of electric-powered motorcycles. In September, Japan’s largest industrial information journal Nikkei Business Daily reported that both Honda and Yamaha have set target dates for launching their own electric-powered motorcycles.

Snow riding and my new LC

Mon, 21 Jan 2013

I reckon the only thing to do when the snow comes is to get on a bike and my weapon of choice is usually a Yamaha TTR 125. I’ve had TTRs in the garage now for around eight years after Raceways Yamaha in Fleetwood put some on offer for just £900 and apart from a few broken spokes and worn out gearbox sprockets they have been indestructible. One of the two has an electric start and incredibly starts as easily as the day I took delivery.
