I am the original owner of this four stroke yamaha. I bought the yz400f for $5,518 and still have the receipt (see pics). I purchased this bike to to keep up with my kids as they rode their smaller bikes. I am 45 years old with some back issues and no longer have room in my shed, so this one will go to a new lucky owner. I am a meticulous owner and take good care of my things. It is as strong as the day I bought it. Oil, Plugs, filters and fuel are changed regularly. This bike has had minimal use, I would guess less than 18 hrs. The tires are original with minimal wear as seen in pics. Aside from the new stickers and a good gold chain, the bike is completely stock and strong. Auction will include the $100 bike stand seen in the photos. I also have lots of gear that I will let go for cheap to the winning bidder. Yamaha Focusing on Developing Model Platforms
Mon, 22 Sep 2014Following the success of its MT platform, Yamaha says it will continue to develop new models based on shared platforms, allowing for a choice of multiple models while reducing overall costs. Speaking in a presentation on the company’s business operation, Yamaha Motor President Hiroyuki Yanagi reiterated the strategy of developing multiple models sharing the same engine and frame. Honda has followed a similar strategy with its NC models, seeing the platform evolve to include the CTX700 and NM4.

Tue, 28 Sep 2010THIS IS the 'Black Devil' - the latest traffic jam-busting, kamikaze two-wheel nutcase who seems to have little respect for not only his own life but eveyone else on the road, too. The rider in question has filmed himself tearing up Moscow's roads in a suicidal fashion, diving between lines of traffic in a bid to impress viewers of his hi-speed antics aboard a Yamaha R1. If he keeps this kind of activity up expect a report on his untimely demise sometime in the near future.
