Yamaha YZ description
Up for auction is a 1990 Yamaha yz250 wide ratio. I got this before Christmas last year from a customer we work for who wanted a few bikes and an old atc out of here shed. I only wanted 2 but she wanted all 4 gone. This one runs so well that I considered keeping it but i simply don't have the room. It starts easy and runs well. All the gears are smooth and both brakes work fine. We took it out 1 time and it was flawless. No overheating and no leaks. I put a new float assembly in the carb and went through the petcock. It is a good candidate for a restoration or have fun as is. None of the bikes she sold to us had titles so this will be sold with a California Bill of Sale.
Some of the things it needs is an air filter element. It also needs new grips and a front brake lever. Also the seat has a rip in the back. Both brakes work good but I might be tempted to bleed the brakes with new fluids. The chain was cleaned but perhaps a new one is in order. There's no kinks but you be the judge. Take a good look at all the pics. I would also be tempted to install new tires but again...you be the judge. They hold air just fine. The previous owner was the original owner. The pipe is rusty in the front but no leaks. I'm sure there are other things that will come to mind so when they do I will update the listing. I am in the San Diego are so anyone is welcome to come take a look in person. The YZ is being sold as is with a California bill of sale. I will assist with shipping. It is for sale locally so I reserve the right to end the auction if it is sold locally If you have any questions please ask. If you need better pictures please ask. If you think I left something out please ask. I want to be as honest and accurate as possible so please ask anything. Thank you |

Yamaha Champions Riding School Returns To NJMP
Fri, 24 Jan 2014Good news for those saddened to hear the Yamaha Champions Riding School would not return to Miller Motorsports Park in 2014: the school is back, now operating from New Jersey Motorsports Park. The change in venue doesn’t come without a slight change in the instructor lineup. Nick Ienatsch and Ken Hill will still lead the way, joined by Mr. Daytona himself, Scott Russell, but a new addition to the star-studded instructor lineup has also been added: none other than Larry Pegram.
This Is How You Ride A 125cc Two-Stroke + Video
Fri, 09 May 2014It’s too bad two-stroke motorcycles are quickly declining. The lightweight and hard-hitting machines are a blast to ride. They’re all but gone from the street scene (thanks emission laws), but thankfully you can still find some on the dirt side.
