This auction is for 1 - 1979 Yamaha YZ 400 MX race bike. This is a dirt bike and there is no title just a bill of sale will be given. This bike has been raced in the Grand Prix open & 50+ classes in AHRMA events over the last few years. The motor got new crank seals in 2012, new heavier shock spring, heavier fork springs, and fork seals last year. This year it got new chain & sprockets and the new rear tire. The bike has a DG pipe & silencer (I have a stock pipe) and Boysen reeds. Overall the bike is in very good shape for being 37 years old. Let me know if you have any questions. The bike is near Birmingham, Al. and I can bring it to the 9/9/16 AHRMA XC race in Ramsey, Ill. otherwise you can pick it up here or arrange your own shipping. |

Tue, 24 Nov 2009NO IT'S NOT an illusion: you're looking at the 1981 Yamaha OW53, ridden by double World Champion Barry Sheene in the first three rounds of the '81 500GP championship. The bike's owner, aircraft engineering entrepreneur Chris Wilson, has lent the £100,000 GP machine to Visordown for our stand at this year's NEC Motorcycle Show - 27th November to 6th December 2009. Sheene raced the bike in the 1981 championship, where he finished fourth at Salzburgring, sixth at Hockenheim and third at Monza.

John McGuinness, second on the all-time TT wins list, added two more wins to his resume to win the Joey Dunlop Trophy while MotoCzysz once again fell just short of taking the bounty for being the first electric motorcycle team to record a 100 mph lap on the Mountain Course. The 2011 Isle of Man TT also had its share of tragedy with three racing fatalities.
2022 Yamaha Tenere 700 World Raid Announced for Europe
Tue, 15 Feb 2022No word yet on US availability Yamaha Motor Europe announced the production version of the 2022 Ténéré 700 World Raid, a new Ténéré variant with a larger fuel tank and longer travel suspension. It joins Yamaha’s European lineup alongside the regular Ténéré 700, plus a Rally Edition version which we don’t get in the U.S. We first saw the World Raid at EICMA as a prototype equipped with a number of Genuine Yamaha Technology Racing (GYTR) performance parts.
