Keeping it simple and keeping the weight down was a great recipe for success, and now Yamaha is fixin’ to take it to the next level with a Ténéré 700 Raid, for which this machine it showed at EICMA serves as prototype. 2014 Yamaha YZF-R125 Announced for Europe

Yamaha has updated its YZF-R125 for the European market, refreshing one of the top-selling 125cc sportbikes on the continent. For 2014, the new R125 receives an upside-down fork, revised fuel-injection system, front air-intake and an R6-inspired fairing design. The engine remains unchanged from the previous version, with a single-cylinder displacing 124.7cc.

2014 World Supersport – Phillip Island Results

The 2014 World Supersport season opened in dramatic fashion after a red-flagged restart turned the 18-lap race into a five-lap sprint, with MV Agusta making a triumphant return to the top of the podium for the first time since 1976. The Supersport event began with a hard-fought battle between three-time champion Kenan Sofuoglu, Kev Coghlan and Michael van der Mark. Sofuoglu and his Kawasaki Ninja ZX-6R held a slim lead over Coghlan’s Yamaha R6 and van der Mark’s Honda CBR600RR when the race was halted after CIA Insurance Honda rider Jack Kennedy suffered an engine problem and leaked oil onto the track.
