Yamaha YCS1 180 description
1967
Yamaha YCS1 Bonanza (180 cc) with only 2257 miles. Clear Ohio Title in my name.
We recently acquired a collection of vintage 2 stroke Yamaha's from a collector. This is a very nice example, great to enjoy or show. Only 2257 miles, and in good running condition. Starts very easily and runs nice. Electric start is in good working condition, as is the kickstart. Sounds great with that nice crisp 2 stroke exhaust note. Original paint, chrome, & seat in nice
condition (and the original dealers decal on left side cover is a nice touch). Engine
is clean and looks nice. Exhaust is nice, with baffles installed and intact. Gas tank is very clean inside, looks almost new. We have ultrasonic cleaned the carburetors, adjusted float
levels, air mixture screws, and idle
stops to factory specifications. Verified the oil pump was adjusted
properly. Ignition point gaps were adjusted and timing set to factory
settings. Gearbox was drained and refilled with Bel-Ray
10w40 motorcycle oil, and a new battery installed. The bike
starts easily and holds a nice idle.

2012 Piaggio X10 Maxi-Scooter with ABS, Traction Control and Electronic Suspension
Thu, 19 Apr 2012The Piaggio X10 slipped a little under the radar at the 2011 EICMA show behind other maxi-scooters such as Yamaha’s T-Max, BMW’s C650GT and C600 Sport and Piaggio’s own Aprilia SRV850. But take a look at some of the features Piaggio’s slapped onto the X10 and you’ll soon learn it’s not to be underestimated. The new flagship of Piaggio’s “Gran Turismo” scooter family, the X10 is equipped with anti-lock brakes anti-slip regulation (i.e.
The perfect classified advert
Fri, 21 Jun 2013Forget “One careful owner, low mileage, full service history” – when it comes to penning classifieds we can all learn from Kyle Miller and Joe Strachila who’ve plundered their marketing genius to come up with the best scooter advert we’ve ever seen. The pair, from Seattle, became an internet sensation last year when they created a hyperbole-packed ad for $700-worth of frankly rubbish 1995 Pontiac Grand-Am. Now they’ve pulled the same trick to get rid of a Y2K Yamaha SH50 (the comically-named ‘Razz’), advertising it on Cragslist as “the fulfilment of your wildest fantasies”.
Stoner to Miss Brno for Surgery – Title Defence Likely Over
Thu, 23 Aug 2012Casey Stoner has withdrawn from the Brno, Czech Republic MotoGP round to undergo surgery on his injured ankle. Trailing Yamaha‘s Jorge Lorenzo by 39 points and Honda teammate Dani Pedrosa by 21 points with seven rounds to go, Stoner’s hopes of repeating as MotoGP champion before retiring at the end of the season are all but dashed. The Repsol Honda rider injured his ankle in a high side crash in last weekend’s Indianapolis Grand Prix.
